Father in heaven, You alone know the hearts of Marta, Colman, Yasmin and Mike, four souls so precious in Your sight. You alone know the struggles that they face, and the anxiety they experience, once they received the diagnosis of cancer. Help them, O Loving Father, to resign themselves to divine providence each day of their lives. Grant them the strength they need to bear up under the treatment that is offered. Help them to be grateful for each breath they draw and for each morning when they awaken. In Your mercy, allow them to draw ever nearer you as they walk the path that lies ahead of them. In the most difficult of days, may they reflect Your love to those around them, thus inspiring others who likewise suffer with the affliction of cancer. May they receive loving, compassionate and expert care from those You have placed over them. Lord, all things are possible to You, and we fly to You in prayer seeking Your mercy upon them. We dare to ask these graces through the perfect intercession of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.
