Lifting up all who has left the church for a return to the Home that will welcome them back by Jesus with Open Arms.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant us that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for us, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear our pleas for
our families. Amen

We continue to pray for our loved ones:

Thank you Saint Monica for answers to prayers and for all who pray and are steadfast. I pray that you look down upon all still lost sheep
and speak to their angel and say how much you love them each and every one. Tell them it is ok to return and tell them to follow the shepherd with the still quiet voice. Lead them to Jesus. Amen.

To St. Monica, Patroness of Mothers

Blessed Monica, mother of St. Augustine, we give thanks to our Father in heaven Who looked with mercy upon your tears over your wayward son. His conversion and heroic sanctification were the fruit of your prayers. Dear St. Monica, we now ask you to pray with us for all those sons and daughters that have wandered away from God, and to add your prayers to those of all mothers who are worried over their children. Pray also for us that, following your example, we may, in the company of our children, one day enjoy the eternal vision of our Father in heaven. Amen.

And amen again.

For my family, along with all others’ families. Lord hear the pleading ache of our hearts for them, and the entreaty of our tears. We tried our best and it wasn’t enough, so we rely on Your mercy for them.

“Stop your crying and wipe away your tears. All that you have done for your children will not go unrewarded; they will return from the enemy’s land. There is hope for your future; your children will come back home. I, the Lord, have spoken.” [Jeremiah 31:16-17]

This my first prayer of thanksgiving to St Monica, Mother Mary and all of you prayer warriors! :grouphug:

I have been praying daily for eight years for 3 fallen away family members. About four years ago I started daily mass and communion. I was becoming very discouraged wondering if my prayers were being heard. Then, Maggie started this thread and I started praying for others besides my own family members. We “flooded” the heavens with our pleas and tears!
Code:
On Mother's Day I had my first glimmer of hope. One of my family members called me up to wish me a happy Mother's Day and tell me that she and her best friend (female buddy) had just returned from mass. This adult child has not been to mass for twenty some years.

Please fellow prayer warriors......don't get discouraged. I will continue to pray for all on this thread. It was necessary for me to start praying for others besides my own family before I was granted this wonderful surprise.

To ONETRUECHURCH:

How wonderful for you! Thank you for sharing your Mother’s Day surprise. It is encouraging for us who still await God’s answer to our prayers.

Now, more than ever, I truly believe God answers prayers in His own time, not ours and wants only what’s best for each of us.

St. Monica please be our petitioner, asking God’s mercy on our families.

My Sweet Jesus, please hold my hand, kiss my brow and carry me through these trials.
Amen
