May God bless you all! I’m a cradle catholic, married 13 years and the youngest of four siblings. After my father died of cancer my family broke into pieces and my mom was in denial of the crazy choices my siblings were making. As a result my brother is now an addict,my sister lost the custody of her beautiful baby and my mother is paralized from the waist down. All this suffering has given me terrible anxiety attacks, I barely leave my house and if I do I have to take medication to be somewhat OK. I pray a lot, do my rosary and novenas, but I fear that this condition will hurt my marriage and my health. I’m now down to 98 pounds even though I eat healthy. I use to serve the Lord in my church and my community and I was a Rector for many years in a retreat house in the Bronx. I am not an ignorant of my own faith, but I need a lot of prayer because panic attacks is like a terrible virus that just takes over your whole life and a pill just does’t make it better. I need the Holy Spirit to strengthen and free me. I have not been to mass in weeks!!!

I can relate to anxiety issues…I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and it is a constant battle. You are in my prayers!

Thankyou for sharing this with me, it lets me know that i’m not alone. God bless you.

:gopray: Father God bless our dear friend who has served you for many years. Restore her confidence; her confidence in you. Lord being anxious is such a horrid feeling but thank you that you are with us through the attack. I thank you for your touch in this area and I pray you would touch our friend.

Hail Mary, full of grace The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death

Galilea:
I know something of what you are going through. It is horrible, to say the least. I will be praying that the Holy Spirit will give you courage and guidance in this illness and help you overcome this paralyzing dis-ease. You will be in my rosaries. I will offer my sufferings for you; hopefully, they will provide you with some relief. God bless you, dear one.

Dearest Galilea, I will keep you in my prayers. I am so sorry you are going through such a difficult time and please know that you and your family will be in the hearts and prayers of many. I have included your prayer intention on the list at my blog so that others may keep you in their intentions. Peace of Jesus be with you.

Easter Blessings to you, Galilea!

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us pray to Christ, the source of life. God raised him from the dead; in turn, he himself will raise us to life by his power. We cry out to him:
  • Christ, our life, save us.
Christ, you are the lightning that flashes across the darkness, the prince of life, the sanctifier of all that is mortal:
may we give you praise by the way we live our lives today.
Lord, you trod the path of the Passion and the Cross:
grant that we, suffering and dying with you, may also be resurrected with you.
Son of the Father, our teacher and our brother, you have made us a royal priesthood for our God:
may we joyfully offer you a sacrifice of praise.
King of glory, we look forward to the day when you come again
to show us your face and make us be like you.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God, death has been defeated today by your only-begotten Son
and the way to eternity lies open before us.
Grant that we who celebrate the feast of the Resurrection today
may be renewed by your Spirit
and rise again in living light.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Happy Easter, for your prayer request:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

God Bless You

You are in my prayers, also. There is nothing worse than an anxiety attack except a full-blown panic attack. But they are very debilitating and frightening. I don’t have them anymore, but after a heart attack 7 years ago, and having never had a panic/anxiety attack before that, I sure did afterwards. They eventually went away, partly due to meds, but I have never been so scared in all my life, so I know how you feel, can identify with it because I have been there, like many reading this thread right now. It ultimately is in God’s hands. Prayers, and plenty of them, are coming your way…you hang in there…send me a PM if you wish…dave

God bless you and everyone who is praying for me. With all these prayers I’m encouraged to carry my cross with more love and faith. May God keep you and everyone in this forum healthy and strong like valiant soldiers of His kingdom.

Praying for you Galilea that the holy spirit enters you and gives you the strength to fight these panic attacks :gopray2:

Praying very hard to St. Dymphna for you. I have relatives who suffer with these and I have tremendous admiration of how they are able to cope. May the Holy Spirit guide and comfort you!

Lord, watch over Galilea and her entire family with your most tender love and mercy. Bring comfort to them Lord, as their trials have become overwhelming for them. Grant courage and strength to her brother Lord, that he may break free from the bondage of addiction. Grant hope and faith to her sister, that she may be the mother to her child that you Lord, wanted her to be. Grant strength and wisdom to her mother Lord, that her paralysis be in body only, and that she may grow stronger in spirit, to guide her children with faith and trust in your will for them.

Lord, shine your glorious and eternal light upon Galilea and her family, that they may see your outstretched hand, waiting to help them up. May they feel the warmth of your love for them, as it fills their hearts, and strengthens their faith. May they take your hand Lord, and walk forever alongside you, with faith and devotion, May your merciful love heal all wounds they have suffered, relieving them of all anxiety and fear, and replacing it with faith, hope and love.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.
Amen.

I know what you are going through, and i can assure you that God is all mercy and that healing is on the way!

God bless!

Today for the first time in weeks I have felt joy and an ease in my heart. I pray that God and Mother Mary bless all of you for having such selflessness in your hearts towards a stranger.

You are not a stranger. You are a child of God, and you are our sister in Christ.
