Prayer for My Sister in Law, Sharon

UPDATE:

Sharon has been switched to a non narcotic pain reliever (for now) and is awake and lucid enough to be discussing the situation with each of her twin 14 year olds, and to begin planning funeral etc.šŸ˜¦

I also took her a Rosary and Miraculous Medal and a copy of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and a little Catholic prayer book for which she was very grateful. In fact My brother and her sister as well as her son got one and there was much enthusiasm and gratitude. I just sort of smiled and said that that is just how we Militia Immaculata roll. šŸ™‚

Her room is beginning to take on a shrine like quality with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the MM, and my 3rd order relic of Padre Pio. A miracle would blow us all away.

My conceit causes me to grieve for myself and my ā€œsufferingā€. But, what of them? Continued prayers that the Lordā€™s Will be accomplished in its entirety, within each of their souls. Many souls are being lead closer to Christ through this. Knowledge of oneā€™s impending call to eternity is also a grace from the Lord, as it draws loved ones near and places a much higher value on time spent together. Time in prayer together - priceless.

Michael, they continue to be in our prayers.
 
We lost our sister in-law, Peggy, on August 20th. It was a devestating loss. You have my prayers and most deepest sympathy for your Sharon and all her loved ones.

May the angels lead her into paradise; may the martyrs come to welcome her on her way, and lead her into the holy city, Jersualem. May the choir of angels welcome her and with Lazarus, who was once was poor may she have everlasting rest.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Havenā€™t seen her in a couple of days but my brother and I attended a funeral for a friend today, and he says that Sharon is having a rough time and that she may not last much longer.

Many many people are praying, and I thank you all for your continued prayer and support.
 
Merciful Lord, may Sharon be storing up great treasure in Your Kingdom through her suffering. Increase her love, so as to reflect Your love for us, both to her family and to those around her. Graciously strengthen her family, instilling all confidence within them to withstand her temporary loss to a permanent residence in Paradise. Your promises are trustworthy, Lord, and we beseech you to keep this family under Divine protection and great love during this sorrowful, but expectant time of their lives. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen! Alleluia!
 
May God continue to hold Sharonā€™s hand in this very difficult time. I will continue my prayers for her.
 
Merciful Father, please comfort and guide this loving family as Your will is done. A miracle of healing is greatly requested. However if it be Your will to call Sharon home, please have mercy on her and her family, and let them feel Your infinite love surround them. AMEN

Father, hold up Sharonā€™s family and friends. Give them the strength to make it through this terrible time in their lives. Wrap these children in your loving arms and send them your special angel to give them strength, peace, and comfort. Remove all the pain and suffering from Sharon. Grant her peace in her last days. We ask all of this in the most Holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord!

My deepest thanks to you all , and a special thanks to my friend pyropam whom I have not seen here at CAF much in some months now. It is good to see you again Pam and to know you are praying for us in all this.

I should have an update later today, as weā€™ve all been chasing ourselves with storms and all kinds of madness.

I started reading this post @ 3:00 this after noon the hour of Divine Mercy (did not even realize it at the time. Coincedence? I donā€™t think so).

Update:

Talked to my brother.

Sharon has been moved to another hospital because a specialist works there, but his diagnosis is that her body is too weak to handle anything much right now.

She is on serious pain meds.

So at this point, there is no good news.

I have been asked to take her a Brown Scapular, and I will.
 
Michael, may the Lord continue to smile upon her, purifying her through suffering. May He grant increasing strength to her loved ones, and may His mercy surround them all, leading them to eternal life in His presence. Amen.

I asked if he needed me there and he said no that their whole family was up there, so I told him I was off to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for them.

I walk the neighborhood as I pray, so I just got back.

St. Augustine had a good prayer for thisā€¦

and give Your Angels and Saints charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, dear Lord,
rest Your weary ones,
bless Your dying ones,
soothe Your suffering ones,
