Prayer for Priests

Almighty Father, grant to these servants of Yours the dignity
of the priesthood. Renew within them the Spirit of holiness.
As co-workers with the order of bishops may they be faithful
to the ministry that they receive from You, Lord God, and be
to others a model of right conduct.

May they be faithful in spreading the good news, so that the
words of the Gospel may reach the ends of the earth, and the
family of nations, made one in Christ, may become God’s one,
holy people.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for help. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”

Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre,
venga tu reyno,
hagase tu voluntad,
asì en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan cotidiano,
Y perdónanos nuestras deudas,
asì como nosotros perdonamos á nuestros deudores.
Y no nos metas en tentación,
mas líbranos de mal.

Amén.

Prayer for Priests

Divine Saviour, Jesus Christ, Who have entrusted your work of redemption to the priests, Who take your place on earth, I offer You, through the hands of Your most holy Mother, for the sanctification of Your priests and future priests this whole day, all my prayers, works, joys, sacrifices and sufferings. Give us saintly priests. Grant to them apostolic hearts, filled with love for You and all the souls belonging to You, so that, being themselves sanctified in You, they may sanctify us who are entrusted to their care and bring us safely into Heaven.
Loving Jesus, bless all their priestly work and sacrifice. Bless all their prayers and words at the altar and in the confessional, in the pulpit, in the school and at the sickbed. Call many young men to the priesthood and the monastic life. Protect and sanctify all who will become Your priests. And grant to the souls of the priests who have departed this life, eternal rest.
And do you, Mary, Mother of all priests, take them under your special protection and lead them ever to the highest priestly sanctity. Amen.

St. John Vianney, Patron Saint of Priests pray for us. Amen.

St. Padre Pio, pray for our Priests. Amen.

Father, we beseech You to lead Your servant Priests, day by day, as our ship of faith navigates increasingly turbulent waters. May they turn and contemplate Christ, peacefully asleep, as their source of comfort during times of trial. May Your Blessed Son, the stone rejected by the builders, become their rock of stability. Grant that His perfect example provides the guidance which they need throughout their lives. Graciously protect them from the harm of this evil generation, filling them with holiness as befits their office. Grant also, that those young men watching and learning from them may take heart and step forward, accepting the grace of their vocation. We ask this through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Lord, we beseech You to breathe Your Holy Spirit upon Your servant Priests this day, strengthening them to resist all evil and to serve the cause of love, which is Your will. Graciously inspire them to deny themselves in their quest for righteousness, and grant them hearts of love, to be poured out like a libation for the good of Your Kingdom. We ask this through the perfect intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
