"Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly onto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Holy Mother of Emmanuel, bless this beautiful family, true gems of our Mother Church, who in their moment of trial have shown us that family love and unity are a true vehicle of the Lord’s virtues. Holy Mother bless Dani, as we see she is on her way of becomming a pillar within our church, with the guidance and dedication of her parents. Amen

When I hear of those who are praying for me, especially those who are not particularly faithful, I am assured that my affliction is for their benefit. What a blessed Lord, that through my affliction, others may be brought to a deeper faith. Praise God’s Holy Name!
Wow - what an amazing person you are. What a gift of faith.
May God grant you a quick recovery and full healing.
I will continue to offer up prayers for you.

I will continue praying for you, you continue to be such an inspiration to me and all of us at CAF. May God Bless You and continue to be with you.

Remember, o most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, sought thy help, or asked thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly uto thee o Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,

pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Again, as each day is truly a blessing, I am humbled that each of you take time to pray! It was not brought out since my daughter’s original post, but I did not go in-patient, as was planned. My oncologist came up with an additional mix of medications to ensure that I don’t have such a reaction again. I spent only an overnight in the local hospital, since the Chemo had to continue as planned.

My next course of chemo will be this Thursday-Saturday. I know that more changes will occur after it, but the alternative is, again, not at all appetizing. The treatment center is affiliated with and adjacent to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. “Hutch” does only research, while I am on the treatment side. Even so, my progress, because of your prayers(!) will likely be used as part of their ongoing research.

I have learned a a bit about cancer in general. What I find is that man knows about .001% of that which is to be known about it. It tends to run in families, but they can’t say why; it is associated with certain occupations, but again they can’t say why. It is unknown what starts the mutant cell-cloning process, but toxic chemicals (chemo) either kill the cells or stop their rapid cloning. It is almost as if the cancer has its own DNA. It is an insidious disease, often hiding behind the minor symptoms of easily treated illnesses. The balancing act in treatment is killing the cancer without killing the patient.

However, my life remains in the Lord’s hands and He will repay each of you who are praying. You are an amazing bunch, who bring me to tears with your prayers. God bless you all!

po18guy,

I just wanted to let you know that a request for your complete healing is included daily in my “Impossible” intentions list. These intentions are those things that are not “possible” according to human standards. I place things on this list that seem to go unresolved for long periods of time or that just seem to be “too big” to ever get worked out.

Every day before my rosary, I present these intentions to the Blessed Mother and I ask her to take them to her Son. Then I ask Jesus to grant these intentions only if they are in accord with the Father’s will. There have been several intentions that have been removed from this list, leaving me in awe of the intercessory power of Our Blessed Mother.

May God bless you as you continue to carry your cross. Your acceptance of this burden is a source of strength to me.

God Bless,
Gary

Cancer is a really interesting condition, my friend. As marvelous as it is, the chances that it will at least touch our lives in some way are incredibly high.

Some 2 in 3 people in the United States alone will develop cancer; with numbers like that, you’d almost have to live under a rock to have not - in the very least - known someone with cancer.

God bless you, my friend. Rest assured that you are in our prayers.

Hi po18guy

I will keep your intention in my prayers to strengthen you and your family. Don’t give up and continue the good fight. You’re doing awesome! 👍

The DNA that you drink in the altar of the Lord with the Eucharist is stronger and more powerful than any illness, and it was given to us a a true gift of HEALING and SALVATION. So the Beautiful blood of Jesus runs through your whole body at all times and it never fades, because the Lord always IS. So you are full of the healing power of the Lord Jesus, and Jesus Himself told you, that you could do greater things than He did. Imagine that ! Such an amount of charity could only come from Love Himself! Receive all that charity with trust and confidence, and fill yourself with a blind faith that moves mountains, that fills the Lord’s Sacred Heart with joy, that His child immitates Him in manifesting miracles for the salvation of others.
I tell you this with a great amount of respect.
For I saw years ago my own father battle this disease, and he bravely overcame it, until the day he mistakenly started drinking again, and that was not wise. I also saw a good friend survive one of the worst types of this disease, and she taught me a great lesson. I would cry by her side as I would brush her hair and it will all fall in my hands. She would everyday tell me, “The Lord has healed me and I will testify about it”. It would break my heart, as I felt sorry for her. Well, I was a fool for not trusting in her inmense faith, for that was three years ago and today she is as healthy as one could be. I was blind enough to only look at the outside of her body going through the process, and not realising that healing starts within. For the Glory of the Lord and because of her blind faith , she is fine. The body goes through a process, but the Lord works even harder and with all His Power!
God loves you and we will continue to pray.

Po18guy,
It’s good that you are educating yourself about cancer. It’s empowering to some extent. Make sure you tell your Dr. about every pain or discomfort you encounter. I went through chemo for stage 3 cancer 5 years ago and tried to hide some side effects which almost cost me my life. When I told the nurse who was getting ready to hook me up, she called the Dr. to come and look at me. He looked at me and stopped the chemo one week short. It was just enough. Any more and I wouldn’t be here. You strike me as someone who wouldn’t complain, but you have to let them know what is going on. Hang in there buddy and know we are praying for you. Tim

May the Precious Blood of Jesus protect you as you receive your treatment, may your body be strengthened and healed, and may your trials bring you many graces and much peace.
Amen

po18guy–I sent your dd some info (in a pm) on an herbal supp that is supposed to really help boost one’s immune system when one is undergoing chemo. I take it daily, and I’m not going through that, but it’s amazing stuff. Did she tell you about it?

I’m praying for you every day–May God heal you completely so very soon.
