Well, I messed up and got a fever. I had chills at Adoration, so I went home and bundled up in bed with some heat to stop the chills. Bad call. When I woke up, I was 102.5. Anything over 100 is an emergency room trip for blood work, so off I go after a quick dinner. My family thanks all of you for your continued faithfulness in prayer. It sustains us. God bless you all!

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Jim, Just wanted to let you know that I’m still praying daily for your complete healing. There’s no doubt in my mind that right now you’re up on that cross with Our Lord assisting in His mission of salvation for all of us. For that I personally thank you.

God Bless,
Gary

A CATHOLIC PRAYER FOR THE GRACE FROM ALL THE WORLD’S MASSES
Eternal Father, we humbly offer Thee our poor presence, and that of the whole of humanity, from the beginning to the end of the world at all the Masses that ever have or ever will be prayed. We offer Thee all the pains, sufferings, prayers, sacrifices, joys, and relaxations of our lives, in union with those of our Lord Jesus here on earth. May the Most Precious Blood of Christ, all His Blood, Wounds, and Agony save us, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Amen.

Continuing to place you and your family in the loving and protective arms of our Blessed Mother.

Prayer to Our Lady, Health of the Sick

*Virgin, most holy, Mother of the Word Incarnate, Treasurer of graces, and Refuge of sinners, I fly top your motherly affection with lively faith, and I beg of you the grace ever to do the will of God.

Into your most holy hands I commit the keeping of my heart, asking you for health of soul and body, in the certain hope that you, my most loving Mother, will hear my prayer.

Into the bosom of your tender mercy, this day, every day of my life, and at the hour of my death, I commend my soul and body.

To you I entrust all my hopes and consolations, all my trials and miseries, my life and the end of my life, that all my actions may be ordered and disposed according to your will and that of your Divine Son. Amen.*

Prayer to Sr. Carmelina Tarantino

*O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit in your providential love you chose that Sr. Carmelina Tarantino of the Cross may be intimately united to the suffering of your beloved Son on the Cross and that filled with apostolic zeal she might offer with joy her life as an holocaust for your glory and the salvation of souls.

We humbly ask you to glorify her in your Church on earth. We implore you through her intercession to grant us the grace we ask in faith.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.*

My computer is having serious issues so I have not been able to reply to any posts lately, but want you to know that computer or not, you are written in my prayer book and are prayed for daily-don’t think if I don’t post you have been forgotten.

Even if I don’t know the specifics of your daily needs, I still pray for your healing and the daily gifts of grace and mercy.

Jim,

I’m worried about you!!! How are you doing today? Hopefully, you’re back from the hospital. Think the devil just may have had enough of you at Adoration? I know the Lord is so proud of your faithfulness to Him. Please keep us updated. Praying for you, Elsa and the entire family.

Blessings,
Judi

Please be careful, Jim. Getting that kind of fever can land you in isolation in the hospital. It did me. I know you want to be at Adoration, but you need to know that you should avoid people, and public places where you can pick up germs while on chemo. It really kills your immune system. I don’t have to tell you all this…you know. I sound like your mother. LOL But I worry, and I’m praying for you. Your faith is great. Your love for God and souls shines on these forums. Just please, be careful. And this protective granny will shut up now.

Hello po18guy,

I hope you are feeling better today. I’m still praying for you and your family. I’m also going to pray for the man who was sitting next you and his family. It’s so awful what you are going through, but it is truely wonderful that you are accepting it on behalf of others and sharing your suffering with Christ’s passion and suffering on the cross. Thank you.

Toward the end of Adoration, I was thanking the Lord for feeling cold, when all that I merit is flames. What a blessing to be cold. How many souls, beginning with the rich man (Luke 16:19-26) long to be cold!

I just noted that the rich man died and was buried, while poor Lazarus was assumed (carried by Angels) into Heaven. The rich man could see only Lazarus and Father Abraham, but not God. That stuck with me.

They tested everything and found nothing. No sign of infection. Apparently, some chemo patients just have unexplained fevers from time to time. I thanked the Lord and we came home. An all-nighter for my devoted and loving wife, who told me not to mention it!

Thanks and blessings to all who continually pray for us. Amen!

Stay well and at least wear a mask so you don’t pick up any germs. Flu season is starting. God Bless

You never cease to amaze me! Your faith is incredible! I pray for your chills to subside and for peace and wellness to overtake you.

Still praying for you, Jim. And as renatas said, at least wear a mask if you must go out around people. And please…wash your hands often. Granny will go away again.

Now that my fever has somewhat subsided, my lower calves and feet have swollen again, so I will not be going out much. So, not much chance of infection. In this month in which we pray for the holy souls in purgatory, I can only pray that all of this is part of my purgation. As usual, my wife Elsa takes care of every detail. She and a family friend are going to a crafts fair today and she felt guilty! I told her to take a break from all that she does and call me every half hour if she needed, in order to calm her nervousness. She even checks to see if I am breathing when I am asleep, although this is not life-threatening at this point. I am praying for her peace and faith.

God bless all of you!
