I have a prayer request for my newborn niece.

I just received a text from my sister, Jennifer, asking for prayers for her new baby girl, Ronin Rose, who was recently born at 28 weeks and who has been doing well but is experiencing some problems common to preemies.

My sister writes:

Will you please pray for Ronin? She has an infection, likely pneumonia, and is on antibiotics and an oscillator (the big ventilator) to help push fluid out of her lungs. Her lung x-ray was clearer than this mornings but is cloudy. I’m too exhausted to talk, but I wanted to reach out to you and ask if you’d pray for her and her doctors and nurses.

Prayers said for your newborn niece that she may recover from her infection and be well enough to leave the hospital soon. Prayers also said for doctors and nurses that they
may use their medical skills and knowledge to the very best of their ability to assist your niece in a competent, compassionate way.

St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, listen to us who are pleading for this sick child. We thank God for the great gift of our son/daughter and ask Him to restore this child to health if such be His holy will. This favour, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers.

PRAYER TO
SAINT GERARD MAJELLA
FOR A SICK CHILD

O St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour,
loved children so tenderly
and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death,
listen to us who are pleading for this sick child.
We thank God for the great gift of children,
and ask Him to restore this child to health
if such be His holy will.

Prayer for Physical Healing

Lord, I come before you with faith in your promise that you shall
grant whatever we ask for in prayer if it will be what is best for our souls.
Lord, I ask you to heal baby Ronin of her ailments.
Touch her now in the areas of her body that need your healing love.
Let the warmth penetrate every cell,
every nerve, and tissue in her sick body.
Replace these sick cells with new and healthy cells.
Cast out anything that should not be in her.
Cleanse all infections, remove all inflammations,
open any blocked arteries and veins and rebuild all damaged areas.
Strengthen her body, her mind, emotions and spirit. And with that
same power by which you created her, heal and recreate her, Lord.
Guide and bless the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff
who are treating Ronin.
Help Ronin’s family. Give them rest and peace as they await Ronin’s healing.
In Jesus’ name I pray, through Mary and all the angels and saints.

@wild thing, I have no clue what a blog sponge is. Perhaps because it’s an automated news source, it soaks up the content of blogs and squeezes them out on CAF.
