I’m new here and would like my first post to be here in the Prayer Intentions section of CAF. My request is for family harmony within my family.

I am married (38 yrs) with 2 grown children and 2 granddaughters all back to live under our roof again after having an empty nest for several years. Due to some crazy circumstances in both son and daughter’s lives they have returned home. To say our house is full is an understatement. The full is not the problem, sometimes I feel like a referee.

My daughter feels like her brother is just a leech and takes advantage of us. My son has done jail time, paid his debt to society and is now back home for 3 years. I have stood up for him recently because he’s been out of work (due to a very serious shoulder surgery) since the summer returning to work tomorrow. During his recovery he has basically done nothing (except be on his laptop) and she resents that he contributes nothing to the family…no money for food or small chores around the house. I know she is partially correct and hope that once he is collecting a paycheck again things will change a little because he will not be financially ready to move out for awhile.

I know that my daughter is angry not only about the present situation, but also about what he put us through in the past. It was a bad time for all of us and I have tried to get past all that and look to the future. But right now things look shaky.

Thank you all for your prayers. 🙂

Linda

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

**Linda, I moved home after college because I was scared.
Unknown to my family or me I was seriously mentally ill.
We had a very large family farm and dad put me to work.
5years after his death I found out I had a form of Schizophrenia.
I was married to a wonderful woman by then and those 15 years,
ten with dad and 5 with my wife were the most productive ones
I had. I, to this day, don’t get along with my mom because she was
not a loving wife to my father. I am babbling now; but I hope my
storie helps…
I am praying for your family.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

i feel almost like our family. both my grown up children are unemployed my son still lives home at age 34 because he has no job and has medical bills he cannot pay. we try to help him but we are short on cash as im retired on limited income and aslo have doctor bills. your family will be in my prayers as i will say a rosary prayerr for you also. ask Mary for help and say the rosary for help

Praying for you Linda (that you’ll be able to keep peace in your home) and for your family …

Lord, if Linda’s son’s shoulder is hurt badly how can he can work around the house. But if he is capable of doing some work around the house, may Linda ask him to start helping out. It will be a fair thing to do and will help bring some peace to the house. If he isn’t capapble of working around the house may Linda explain to her daughter that he just can’t help being incapacitated and his disability shouldn’t be held against him. May all in this household be Christlike and responsible and filled with love for God and for each other. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, Please bring the Spirit of Peace to this house, grant that the children will be grateful for having a roof over their heads and that they will contribute to the smooth running of the house. An Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be and a Fatima Prayer for Linda’s intentions.
