They are acting as normal in class. Well, normal by teenage standards. The DA has been in contact with me. I’ll be getting a subpoena and so will the principal and guidance counselor. Not very Christian of me to say this, but a part of me hopes that the other inmates will find out what Bobby did to this poor girl. His kind are hated by all the drug pushers and gangbangers. As for the “mother”, even if she doesn’t go to prison, I hope she never sees her daughter again. James has a restraining order out on her.

Christian or not of you to say it, I think it is inevitable the other inmates will find out. The prison guards aren’t too fond of these types either and sometimes the information gets “leaked”.

I can say now that Aidan is focusing on being “the perfect boyfriend” to Chloe now. He realizes that the ones who hurt her are now at the mercy of the law. I haven’t heard from James lately. I got my subpoena today. Next week, I’ll have to take the stand.

Well, I think I did okay on the stand. So did the principal. Aidan’s testifying next week, as is his mother. Please pray that he contains his anger on the stand, no matter how justified his feelings are. I can tell you that if my wife were the victim, I would probably be burning with unbelievable pain and rage just like this boy. Pray that he keeps a cool head and remembers that he is there, essentially, to protect the girl he loves by helping the state put the man who hurt her behind bars. He won’t achieve this by angry outbursts, he needs to answer the prosecutor’s questions to the point and add or omit nothing. He needs to act like a young adult and not flip out on the defense attorney no matter how invasive his questions may be. So far, I’m very proud of him with the way he’s been handling the situation. Chloe seems happier now (she’s also getting counseling with a woman therapist), and I think a lot of credit should go to Aidan for that. Both these kids have shown maturity and strength beyond their years, and this is going to be a test for him, not just of that maturity, but of faith as well.
