I kindly ask for your prayers. I’m not moving as I was before. It has been more and more difficult since last Easter. My outside activities are very few these days, only a few hours per week. I was on the go for up to 16 hours a day. I can no longer do that. My health is not good and I’m old. It’s not easy to let go. One feels that he is not doing enough for God and men.

I ask that you pray that God will give me the grace to give what he takes and accept what he gives. I need to grace to surrender to the will of God.

I posted this request in prayer intentions, but most of my friends hang out here. :yup:

Thank You
Praying for you dear Brother JR.

“I am the Mother of fair love, and of fear,
and of knowledge, and of holy hope.
In me is all grace of the way and of the truth,
in me is all hope of life and of virtue.”

May God bless you BrotherJR. Sometimes the things which seem so difficult wind up pointing people towards heaven in ways might not initially recognized.
When I read your prayer request, I thought of JohnPaul II whose failing health became such a poweerful testimony about love and the value of life in every stage.
We all do our best. Perhaps others will find your experience more helpful then you anticipate.
You, your intentions, your brothers, and your family are in my prayers and my heart. May God bless you all. Amen.

I greatly appreciate your wisdom and all you share here in the forums. Praying for you.

Eternal and everliving God,
I am involved in a major change in my life,
and it is quite unsettling.
I know that for us creatures,
change is an indication of life,
but I still find it hard to accept.
Enable me to see your hand in it,
subtly bringing about your plan for me
and enabling me to come closer to You.
Make me appreciate the many good aspects of change
and learn to live with the bad aspects.
Teach me to be pliable and adaptable to any change,
fully aware that once change stops for me,
I will no longer be alive on this earth.
Amen.

Divine Mercy In my soul
The diary of Sister Maria Faustina H. Kowalska
605 O Holy Trinity, Eternal God, I thank You for allowing me to know the greatness and the
various degrees of glory to which souls attain. Oh, what a great difference of depth in the
knowledge of God there is between one degree and another! Oh, if people could only know
this! O my God, if I were thereby able to attain one more degree, I would gladly suffer all the torments of the martyrs put together.

James1:2b Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, 3for you know that the testing* of your faith produces perseverance. 4And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Peace

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

JReducation:
I will confess that there are days when I don’t feel overly cheery or too generous. There are days when I feel bored.
Whenever I have those days, Brother, and today was one of them, it comforts me a little to remember Jesus’s words, “Foxes have dens, birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Try as I may, there is just nothing on earth where I can find rest or take satisfaction, though it be something that I most enjoyed or loved.

God reminds us we are restless until we rest in Him, and it brings us acute interior longing for that sense of His presence to fill these spiritual hungers. If nothing else, it is a comfort to vent with those who understand each another regarding this, and I hope I’m reading your message in the right sense.

Still praying for you …

In Praise of Mary Immaculate

You are all fair, O Mary;
the original stain is not in you.
You are the glory of Jerusalem,
the joy of Israel,
the honor of our people,
and the great advocate of sinners.
O Mary, Virgin most prudent,
Mother most merciful, pray for us;
intercede for us with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I read many of your posts and they have enlightened me so much. You will be in my prayers Brother JR :byzsoc:
