Prayer request of my CAF friends

Jon,
Thanks for the great news! God bless Lauren. I just absolutely have great difficulty when I hear about children suffering.

I’m a teacher, and passionate about children (I consider it a gift of the Spirit). It just tears me up when I see a child suffer, especially the ones who do so unnecessarily because of negligent parents.
Lauren is such a wonderful girl with loving parents, and now she has wonderful unknown-to-her friends here to pray for her. Thank God for CAF.

I know there is a separate prayer intentions forum, but most of my Catholic and non-catholic friends are here. So, I ask for your prayers for my 14 yr old niece, Lauren, who was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s. She is a wonderful, bright young girl.

Father in Heaven,
We know by faith that You are everywhere and so that means Heaven is with us. Please bring the love which exists in Heaven to Lauren, a child of yours. Despite the fallen nature of this world, it seems unfair that an innocent child such as her should have to suffer.

Please, by the passion of Jesus, and through the Love of the Holy Spirit, shower your mercy upon her and heal her so she can live on this earth by growing into a living relationship with you. Strengthen her so she may become an instrument of your peace to the world.

Please, Lord, do not let your children live on any longer being uncertain of Your mercy. We know Your mercy is endless, so please practice that mercy! Please practice it with haste in the life of Lauren and all your children.

Just an update on Lauren. She went home yesterday, and has gained 10 pounds! I spoke with her today, and she sounded stronger and in good spirits. She thanks everyone for your prayers and best wishes, and with great gratitude, so do I.
She has along road ahead of her, but she’s definitely (name removed by moderator)roving.
