Hi - I’m new here, I hope you all don’t mind - could you say a small prayer for my family? We’re a Catholic homeschooling family, but instead of a happy, thriving home, we seem to always be angry, miserable, and lonely - we live in a very remote area with no Catholic friends or other homeschoolers nearby.

We’re OK - but I believe God intends a much fuller and richer life for us, rather than snapping, fighting and bickering; I feel I’m drowning in anger and sorrow, and that joy in life is gone. There is so much work to do, I’m just not managing.

I know with prayer, though, we can get through this.

Thankyou so much,

Welcome to CAF AtHisFeet!

I am praying for you and your family …

Certainly i will pray for you!
and no that isnt what God intends for any family…

may i suggest? it sounds like a bit of “cabin fever” people who spend too much time cooped up. you say there is a remote area, and that you have no local Catholics…
i assume that moving is not a possibility.

are there NON Catholics who are good Christians and not prejudiced against Catholics?
Obviously there are Catholic and Catholic friendly webpages, perhaps there is some social support there?
Can you start a social group in the Catholic church? even if its a bit of a hike, it would be something…

now if you dont have a Catholic church you have a different problem!

it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy."

    Father
Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

"The Lord’s Prayer "
is truly the summary of the whole gospel." “Since the Lord…after handling over the practice of prayer, said elsewhere, ‘Ask and you will receive,’ and since everyone has petitions which are peculiar to his circumstances, the regular and appropriate prayer **(The Lord’s Prayer) **is said first, as the foundation of further desires.”

World without end

Amen

Lord, may this family be touched by your Holy Spirit and love one another the way you intend them to. May they go on a pilgimage somewhere holy - maybe to EWTN in Alabama (if they can afford it) - to get rejuvanated in spirit. May they invite their Pastor over regularly for supper and may his good presence help them to love you and one another better. May they be encouraged to be thankful to you for all they have received and may they pray the rosary every night together as a family with each person leading the rosary. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer. Amen.

PRAYER FOR
THE GIFT TO SEEK GOD
AND LIVE IN HIM.
Father, in your goodness
grant me the intellect to comprehend you,
the perception to discern you,
and the reason to appreciate you.
In your kindness endow me
with the diligence to look for you,
the wisdom to discover you,
and the spirit to apprehend you.
In your graciousness
bestow on me a heart to contemplate you,
ears to hear you,
eyes to see you,
and a tongue to speak of you.
In your mercy confer on me a conversation pleasing to you,
the patience to wait for you,
and the perseverance to long for you.
Grant me a perfect end,
your holy presence.
Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not put on airs, it is not snobbish. Love is never rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not prone to anger, neither does it brood over injuries. Love does not rejoice in what is wrong but rejoices with the truth. There is no limit to love’s forbearance, to its trust, its hope, its power to endure. Love never fails. Prophecies will cease, tongues will be silent, knowledge will pass away…There are in the end three things that last: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.I pray to You my dear Lord, may this family continue to live in Your heart with love for each other. In Jesus Name. Amen.

“Prayer to the Sacred Heart for Perseverance”

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving fountain of eternal life,
infinite treasure of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love, You are
my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume
my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Your Heart.
Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Your love. Let my
heart be so united with Yours that our wills may be one, and mine
may in all things be conformed to Yours. May Your Will be the rule
of both my desires and my actions. Amen.

You are most welcom my friend !

:bible1: And He said to him,“You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all
your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And
second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the law and
prophets.”

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
