A Prayer FOR A FAMILY

O dear Jesus, I humbly implore You to grant Your special graces to our family. May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith. I beg You, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.
O Mary, loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.
Blessed Saint Joseph, holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all the necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which He granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, heaven may find our family unbroken in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Amen.

***“Prayer to the Sacred Heart for Perseverance”

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving fountain of eternal life,
infinite treasure of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of love, You are
my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume
my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Your Heart.
Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Your love. Let my
heart be so united with Yours that our wills may be one, and mine
may in all things be conformed to Yours. May Your Will be the rule
of both my desires and my actions. Amen.

~St. Alphonsus Liguori~

Remember, when we are at our weakest, He is at his strongest.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them
the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall
renew the face of the earth. Amen.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Wow! Thankyou so much for all of your prayers So much has happened in the past few weeks, I don’t even know where to start!

We had another homeschooling family come to stay - we didn’t know until they arrived, but they were very anti-Catholic, to the point of even being anti-Trinity, anti-Christmas, etc

They had planned to leave after the 2nd day, they had not realised we were Catholic, and I think they were very keen to leave! But on that morning, their car broke down, and it took a further 8 days to have it fixed.

We believe there was a deliberate action of God in this situation - it made for 8 days of fellowship and theological discussions. Not that any grand changes were made on either side, but nothing like a good old Protestant-Catholic discussion to make a family pull together! I should mention it was all very amicable - no raised voices, and each side ‘held their tongue’ at times - we all think we are ‘right’, and all of us realised this, so as to talk about things, but with kindness and gentleness.

And, the discussions continue, even with our visitors now gone - at the moment, our family has pulled together and are sharing and chatting like we haven’t in ages.

Thankyou so much for all of your prayers, I feel so very blessed that so many of you took the time to pray for our family - just knowing we are not alone has meant so much.

See I told you, this place is amazing! Hallelujah for an amazing chain of events that God placed in your life, to have this miracle happen. Wow, is right!!! 🙂

Eternal God, In whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen. :signofcross:

You are in my prayers. I pray that you find happiness and a new strength as a family.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Our Father Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass
against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
