Dear Lord please keep all prisoners safe from harm. Please guide those that work with prisoners to treat them with compassion and dignity and fairness.Please watch over all prisoners and protect them from harm and guide them to lead fulfilling lives. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
 
Father, I have sinned against You, against my children, and against myself. I repent of the sins that have so easily beset me and ask for Your forgiveness.
Father, Your Word assures me that You forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You for forgiving me. I pray that my children will be willing to forgive me so that we may be a family again.
Thank You for the one who has assumed responsibility for my children while I am away. I pray that You will strengthen him/her and fill him/her with Your Spirit Who gives him/her great wisdom, ability, and skill in rearing the children You gave to me. I repent for failing to assume my responsibility to my children, and I ask You to reward the one who is taking care of them.
His/her mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of his/her heart shall be understanding. I thank You that he/she is in Christ Jesus, Who has been made unto him/her wisdom from You — his/her righteousness, holiness, and redemption. He/she is filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that he/she may live a life worthy of You and may please You in every way, bearing fruit in every good work.
Father, I am responsible for my own actions, and I recognize that what I have done has hurt my entire family. Forgive me for dishonoring You, my family, my friends, and my children. Give me the grace to pay my debt and do my assigned work as unto You. Help me to develop diligence and patience, giving myself to prayer, study, and meditation in Your Word.
Lord, there is violence within these walls, but I look to You. Hide me in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of others. Keep me safe in Your arms. Amen.

Help us to forgive one another, to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly together with Christ in His strength and in His Spirit, now and every day.’

Father of Mercy, the secrets of all hearts are known to you alone. You know who is just and you forgive the unjust. You alone are the Almighty Judge. We are not worthy of judging anyone. Your mercy is enough for sinners. Hear our prayers for those in prison. Give them repentance and let them believe in you. Give them patience and hope in their sufferings, and bring them home again soon. Comfort their near and dear ones. Let them trust in Jesus Christ and live with hope. Amen

Dear Saint Anthony, I am imprisoned by walls of selfishness, prejudice, suspicion. I am enslaved by human respect and the fear of other people’s opinions of me. Saint Anthony, Liberator of Prisoners, tear down my prison walls. Break the chains that hold me captive. Make me free with the freedom Christ has won for me. Amen.

Lord, you said ‘come to me all who labour and are heavy laden’, you said ‘cast your burdens on me and I will give you rest’, give to all who work in prisons and carry the needs and burdens of others, the grace, strength and courage to continue, and the rest they need for renewal and recreation.

We pray for those who are busy and weighed down with responsibility, to stop, stand in the light and find strength and rest. For all who work in prisons, and care for those who are imprisoned, it is very easy to get sucked down into the suffering and needs of others, to be so committed to ensuring that others have the tools they need to change and turn their lives around that they forget their own needs. In times of stress and pressure, of financial constraint and shortage of resources, prison staff want to make a difference but need to remember to take care of themselves, of one another and to offer support and affirmation.
In Jesus’ name, we pray for them.

O God,
who sparest when we deserve punishment and in thy wrath rememberest mercy;
we humbly beseech thee,
of thy goodness,
to comfort and succor all prisoners.
Give them a right understanding of themselves,
and of thy warnings and promises,
that they may put their confidence in thee,
and in thee alone.

Relieve the distressed,
protect the innocent,
and awaken the guilty.

And,
forasmuch as thou alone canst bring light out of darkness,
and good out of evil,
grant that thou grace may impel the guilty to seek that only redeemer who can free their souls from the chains of sin;
