I know I post A TON of questions on here, mostly because I cannot find peace. I do not understand people, the concept of “sins” or myself. I guess the ultimate question I cannot answer is why are we here and why are we made the way we are? Are some people better than others because they have less “sins” and “infirmities”?
Certain sins make you feel like a terrible person. How do you confess? Some people say it takes humility to realize you are wrong. It always seemed to me that God loves those outside his church more – there is no judgment on them. They do not hear masses where they reminded how they fail, they do not believe in anything after this life, they do not have to confess their sins to anyone. They do not even have to label or acknowledge their transgressions. They can select whatever moral standard they want to abide to, at least they adhere to it. How many people honestly follow God’s law?
Some people sin in ways they make them a bad person - judgmental, rude, intolerant, racist, close-minded, prejudiced, ignorant, bullying, nosy/gossiper, they commit crimes (murder, theft, rape)
Some people “sin” in ways that are justifiable or at least socially acceptable (do not agree w/ Catholic doctrine & dogma, have sex outside of marriage, children out of wedlock, do not attend Church or read a bible) Usually these “sins” are no one’s business but their own/private sin. How dare you correct someone for divorcing, “fornicating”, etc.
It is their life and free-will. They can select how to use it. Ultimately you are responsible for navigating your own life/well-being. If you are truly content with yourself, why does any of this matter?
It is hard to label us all sinners, if some people seem WAY WORSE THAN OTHERS. Not all “sins” backfire on the transgressor. Not all sins require correction from an outsider.
