Most Holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of the particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (please intercede for me & for the family that I am helping with) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. I promised, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Holy Mother, please come to the aid of this family. Please ask our Lord to provide for all of their material and spiritual needs. Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer in Filipino Language

Ama namin sumasalangit ka,
Sambahin ang Ngalan mo.
Mapasaamin ang kaharian mo.
Sundin ang loob mo dito sa lupa para nang sa langit.
Bigyan mo kami ngayon ng aming kakanin sa araw-araw;
At patawarin mo kami sa aming mga sala,
Para nang pagpapatawad namin sa nagkakasalaan sa amin;
At huwag mo kaming ipahintulot sa tukso,
At iadya mo kami sa lahat ng masama.
Siya nawa.

Responsorial Psalm for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Ps 113:1-2, 4-6, 7-8 R. (cf. 1a, 7b)

Praise the Lord who lifts up the poor.

Praise, you servants of the LORD,
praise the name of the LORD.
Blessed be the name of the LORD
both now and forever.
R. Praise the Lord who lifts up the poor.

High above all nations is the LORD;
above the heavens is his glory.
Who is like the LORD, our God, who is enthroned on high
and looks upon the heavens and the earth below?
R. Praise the Lord who lifts up the poor.

He raises up the lowly from the dust;
from the dunghill he lifts up the poor
to seat them with princes,
with the princes of his own people.
R. Praise the Lord who lifts up the poor.

The Lord’s Prayer in Capampangan Vernacular
Ibpa mi, a atsu banua,
Misamban ya ing lagyu mu.
Datang ing cayarian mu,
Mipamintuan ing lub mu
Queti sulip anti banua.

Ing cacanan mi queng aldo-aldo, ibie mu quing aldo ngeni.
Ampo ning pamatauad mu quecami, quing sala mi queca.
Anti ing pamamatauad mi, careng micasala quecami.
Emu que paisaul quing tucsu,
Nune icabus mi quing sablang marok yanasa. Amén.

For what I posted last time, I was able to do most of the apostolate last Sunday. I was able to attend Mass at Holy Rosary Parish & sent some devotional materials there (for the Parish itself, for the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Holy Sepulchre, & for the Archdiocesan Media), through a friend extraordinary minister for the distribution of the Communion.

After that, I went back to Immaculate Conception Parish for the materials there, through their parish secretary. I also sent materials, which the secretary will give to a priest who presides at Masses at hospitals & to the place where he is the chaplain, the Archdiocesan Home for the Aged. The priest is young, & a former nurse before he answered his call.

After that, I was able to visit the family. Food is stable for a week, I guess. It’s ideal for the rainy day (ready to cook noodles, boxed chicken soup, boxed porridge) since there is drizzle on that Sunday, as the monsoon winds are being pulled by the typhoon Usagi that time, which strengthened the next day.

Thank you and God bless you for helping this family out.

May God bless you for all that you are doing for this family

St. Francis, the little poor man of Assisi, we invoke you as the admirable mirror you were of our Divine Master. You imitated Christ the Lord in your humility and obedience. You faithfully followed Him in poverty and weakness. With joy you accepted suffering, contempt, and trials for the sake of His Name. In your goodness, help us, then, to imitate your example. By your power with God, obtain for us the special favor we now seek through your intercession (state your special intention). Please Pray for prbarrera as he is Praying and helping a family who is in great need.

Please pray for us, gentle and happy saint of the poor, that we may always be loyal followers of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and filled always with divine riches. Amen.

A Prayer for the poor by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and Joy. Amen

Official Prayer of the Group for the poor

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you the poor and the marginalized.

We know that these are your cherished ones, that you are a God whose heart cries out for justice, that you are a God who longs to feed the hungry. We ask simply, Lord, that you give us your heart.

Fill us Lord with your compassion, give us your eyes to see, give us boldness and selflessness and wisdom, so that we too might cry out for justice and feed the hungry, so that your light might shine throughout the earth.

Lord, we especially lift up the children among us who are poor and marginalized, finding themselves in circumstances they did not choose and helpless to change. We lift up AIDS orphans, children of war, children suffering abuse and neglect, children smitten with malnutrition an disease, lacking education, housing or the most basic of life’s necessities. Might they somehow come to know the love of their Creator, who knows each hair on their head and collects their tears.

Lord, you know every wretched tale. Every overwhelming statistic, you know personally, one by one. Thank you that one day you will make all things right through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Until that day, let us be tireless in doing what is good and what is right unto the least of these, knowing the Father’s love for them. Amen

Almighty & most merciful God, we remember before you all poor & neglected persons who would be easy for us to forget: the homeless & the destitute, the elderly & the sick, & all who have no one to care for them. Help us to heal those who are broken in body or spirit, & to turn their sorrow into joy. Grant this, Father for the love of your Son who for our sake became poor, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I visited the family last Wednesday, after I did my apostolate at 2 parishes.

Here’s the situation. Tomorrow’s Mass in my home parish would be the liturgy for our first Fililipino saint, Lorenzo Ruiz of Manila & Companion Martyrs. Hence, there would be no vigil/anticipated Mass that would count as a Sunday Mass.

Oh well, I guess I have to continue attending Mass on Sunday 2:30. Before that, I must visit the Carmelite Monastery, since the devotional materials are also dropped there too.

If I attend the 2:30 Mass, I always arrive back to the family around 4 PM, depending on traffic conditions. Sometimes, I am not able to do many things in their home, one of which is the garden. Lately, I wasn’t able to trim the garden.

Saint Vincent de Paul, pray for us.

Well, the mission was accomplished today… Bought first some foodstuff to a grocery near Immaculate Conception Parish, left some of my baggages there, $ checked if the Parish Secretary is around the office, but not yet there.,.

So, I had to go to the chartered city proper to go to the Carmelite Monastery. Lighted candles there for my family & the family I am helping, & left the devotional materials to the storekeeper in their religious store. They have a box there where any visitor can get any Catholic booklet or prayer card for free.

After that I attended Mass at Holy Rosary Parish, then went back to Immaculate Conception Parish & was able to give other materials there. One is for their guest priest, a chaplain for the Archdiocesan Home for the Aged. Also there are materials for the 15 Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) under the Parish Jurisdiction.

Then I visited the family, A few days back, the 2 female dogs were fighting & both have wounds, which I have to fix them up…The family (of three) is doing fine, yet their house has 3 adult dogs (2 female, 1 male) & 3 growing 4-month old puppies (1 female, 2 male), plus cats at the back door of the house!

Around 6 PM, I then moved to Our Lady of Victory Parish for their materials. Their BECs are a challenge, they have 29 all in all (my home parish has 20 or 21).

That’s it, after that, I went home.

Saints Michael, Gabriel, & Raphael, pray for us!

Sounds like a busy day! God bless you.

St. Jerome, St. Therese of the Child Jesus, pray for us!

Yes, it was a busy day. Those in Our Lady of Victory Parish were partial deliveries. I am also making something for my home parish as well.
