praying for you and the family your helping during rosary hour:crossrc:

Praying that the Lord will bless you and the family that you are helping.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Holy Mother, please come to the aid of this family. Please comfort them and ask our Lord to provide for all of their material and spiritual needs. Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Divine Jesus, you have said, “Ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” behold me kneeling at your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by your Sacred Heart and pronounced by your adorable lips. I come to ask this favor: (Please intercede for me and for the family that I am helping with.)

To whom can I turn if not to you whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits? Where should I seek if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of your kindness and mercy? Where should I knock if not at the door through which God gives himself
to us and through which we go to God? I have recourse to you, Heart of Jesus. In you I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.

Dear Jesus, I firmly believe that you can grant me the grace I implore, even though it should require a miracle. You have only to will it, and my prayer will be granted. I admit that I am most unworthy of your favors, but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged. You are the God of mercy and you will not refuse a contrite heart. Cast upon me a look of mercy, I beg of you, and your kind Heart will find in my miseries and weaknesses a eason for granting my prayers.

O Sacred Heart, whatever may be your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving you. My Jesus, be pleased to accept this my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of your adorable Heart which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled by me and by all your creatures forever.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I know that there is but one thing impossible to you: to be without pity for those who are suffering or in distress. Look upon me, I beg of you, dear Jesus, and grant me the grace for which I humbly implore you through the Immaculate Heart of your most sorrowful Mother. You have entrusted me to her as her child, and her prayers are all-powerful with you. Amen.

Holy Mother, please come to the aid of this family. Please comfort them and ask our Lord to provide for all of their material and spiritual needs. Amen.

Thank you for the prayers. I added more Prayer Warriors in my friends list, & I hope that they’ll pray here in this topic too. 🙂

I visited the family yesterday. It’s already late (for me), about 6 PM, after the other 3 hours of apostolate (includes sending mail to the post office for requests & for the chaplains to distribute in their ministries, plus 2 parishes) & hassles in grocery (first was the long line so I left there, while the other supermarket had some delay).

Fortunately, the weather distrurbance that time hasn’t fully entered in our country. There were light rains so I have to hurry up arriving there.

Emergency food was given, all right (rice, cooking all, eggs, noodles, chicken soup & porridge mixes - just boil water), but there was a mistake. Electricity went out at 11 PM as the typhoon arrived. They have firewood (they used to cook rice using firewood, but now using an electric rice cooker), but wood is wet due to rain. Their kerosene stove is long busted & even if they have a gas stove, there’s no liquefied petroleum gas since a tank of 10-11 kilograms is quite expensive.

I know they work onto something for that. Fortunately the winds & rains are less as it exits my country & electricity is now back. The typhoon was disturbing though. I felt it was the scariest one in my entire life. I have to sleep downstairs in the sofa instead at the 2nd floor just to avoid the howling winds. Many trees got uprooted too, according to folks here, causing traffic.

Our Lady of the Pillar, Pray for us!

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell, satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen

praying that things get better. It is awful to be without electricity, I went though that when there was a very bad storm and the trees. I went to church yesterday and prayed for your intentions at Saint Anthony’s altar.

Pope St. Callistus, pray for us!

I visited the home yesterday, & I have to trim some parts of the garden. They asked a neighbor’s help to clear one of the branches that fell during the typhoon. I saw one tree that was nearly uprooted due to the strong winds. No action was taken on that though.

Fortunately, I learned that they got their electricity last Saturday afternoon. They also got some dry firewood near the front door of their house, where the 2 female adult dogs stay (and good they’re not quarelling each other). The puppies are fine too. I have given all of them iron supplements, then vitamin B complex supplements afterwards.

As I went home, some parts of the suburban city of mine still have no electricity. Several old acacia trees that fell also made the electric & telephone posts fall down too. The electric company cooperative is working round the clock to fix everything. My village has electricity though, as I believe we belong a different substation/power grid of the company.

Thanks be to the Lord for protecting them.

Praying that He may continue to bless you and the family you take care of.

Dear friend, I am glad there is some electricity. Thank you for keeping us posted, I know it is sometimes hard to communicate after a storm. Continued prayers during rosary hour.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

“Christ has no body but yours,” by St. Teresa of Avila

Christ has no body now on earth but yours; yours are the only hands with which He can do His work.

Yours are the only feet with which He can go about the world; yours are the only eyes through which His compassion can shine forth upon a troubled world. Christ has no body on earth but yours.

St. Francis, the little poor man of Assisi, we invoke you as the admirable mirror you were of our Divine Master. You imitated Christ the Lord in your humility and obedience. You faithfully followed Him in poverty and weakness. With joy you accepted suffering, contempt, and trials for the sake of His Name. In your goodness, help us, then, to imitate your example. By your power with God, obtain for us the special favor we now seek through your intercession (state your special intention). Please Pray for prbarrera as he is Praying and helping a family who is in great need.

Please pray for us, gentle and happy saint of the poor, that we may always be loyal followers of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and filled always with divine riches. Amen.

A Prayer for the poor by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and Joy. Amen

Official Prayer of the Group for the poor

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you the poor and the marginalized.

We know that these are your cherished ones, that you are a God whose heart cries out for justice, that you are a God who longs to feed the hungry. We ask simply, Lord, that you give us your heart.

Fill us Lord with your compassion, give us your eyes to see, give us boldness and selflessness and wisdom, so that we too might cry out for justice and feed the hungry, so that your light might shine throughout the earth.

Lord, we especially lift up the children among us who are poor and marginalized, finding themselves in circumstances they did not choose and helpless to change. We lift up AIDS orphans, children of war, children suffering abuse and neglect, children smitten with malnutrition an disease, lacking education, housing or the most basic of life’s necessities. Might they somehow come to know the love of their Creator, who knows each hair on their head and collects their tears.

Lord, you know every wretched tale. Every overwhelming statistic, you know personally, one by one. Thank you that one day you will make all things right through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Until that day, let us be tireless in doing what is good and what is right unto the least of these, knowing the Father’s love for them. Amen

77stanthony77, there are still areas here that are still not supplied with electricity. Accordingly, 23 or 24 electric posts fell down here in my area. It is also difficult to communicate after the storm. Phone lines are still out of action here. Although there are mobile phones here, once the batteries are out, one has to find a place to recharge it or buy a new one, should you do not keep a spare battery.

Repair might be completed before the week ends. Much like the scenario in the province of Aurora, where the landfall was made by the typhoon, which is now raging Vietnam.

goforgoal, thanks for mentioning St. Teresa of Avila, who is also known as St. Teresa of Jesus.
