Most Holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of the particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (please intercede for me & for the family that I am helping with) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever. I promised, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Our Lady of Good Remedy, pray for us!

Please invite more folks to pray for me!

Dear friend

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Divine Jesus, you have said, “Ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” behold me kneeling at your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by your Sacred Heart and pronounced by your adorable lips. I come to ask this favor: (Please intercede for me and for the family that I am helping with.)

To whom can I turn if not to you whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits? Where should I seek if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of your kindness and mercy? Where should I knock if not at the door through which God gives himself
to us and through which we go to God? I have recourse to you, Heart of Jesus. In you I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.

Dear Jesus, I firmly believe that you can grant me the grace I implore, even though it should require a miracle. You have only to will it, and my prayer will be granted. I admit that I am most unworthy of your favors, but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged. You are the God of mercy and you will not refuse a contrite heart. Cast upon me a look of mercy, I beg of you, and your kind Heart will find in my miseries and weaknesses a eason for granting my prayers.

O Sacred Heart, whatever may be your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving you. My Jesus, be pleased to accept this my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of your adorable Heart which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled by me and by all your creatures forever.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I know that there is but one thing impossible to you: to be without pity for those who are suffering or in distress. Look upon me, I beg of you, dear Jesus, and grant me the grace for which I humbly implore you through the Immaculate Heart of your most sorrowful Mother. You have entrusted me to her as her child, and her prayers are all-powerful with you. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
St. Joseph, pray for us!
St. Alphonsus Ligouri, pray for us!

I am regularly lighting up a candle for my intentions. At present, I light 2 candles in any of the following: 2 parishes (at the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help), or at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lord’s Sepulcher.

I am not placing candles lately at the Discalced Carmelite Monastery, which is a bit distant from the Auxiliary Bishop’s Parish Church (they have no places where to light candles there).

Oh, yesterday, I sent food through the only family child. It’s slightly raining & I have to meet him at a convenience store (though I bought the food at a supermarket near the Archdiocesan Shrine).

Prayer to Our Lady of Good Remedy

Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, Most Holy Virgin, we venerate you. You are the beloved Daughter of the Most High God, the chosen Mother of the Incarnate Word, the Immaculate Spouse of the Most Holy Trinity.

O Mother of the Divine Redeemer, who under the title of Our Lady of Good Remedy comes to the aid of all who call upon you, extend your maternal protection to us. We depend on you, Dear Mother, as helpless and needy children depend on a tender and caring mother.

Dear Lady of Good Remedy, source of unfailing help, assist us to find a remedy for our problems and needs, especially for the assistance of the family that I am helping with.

On our part, loving Mother, we pledge ourselves to a more careful observance of the laws of God, and to strive to be a source of healing in this broken world of ours.

Dear Lady of Good Remedy, be ever present to us, and through your intercession, may we enjoy health of body and peace of mind, and grow stronger in our love of your Son, Jesus.

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Novena Prayer to St. Jeanne Jugan

Jesus, you rejoiced and praised your Father
for having revealed to little ones
the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.
We thank you for the graces granted
to your humble servant,
Jeanne Jugan,
to whom we confide our petitions and needs.

(Please intercede to the family that I am helping.)

Father of the poor,
you have never refused the prayer of the lowly.
We ask you, therefore,
to hear the petitions
that she presents to you
on our behalf.

Jesus, through Mary,
your Mother and ours,
we ask this of you,
who live and reign
with the Father
and the Holy Spirit
now and forever.

Amen.

St. Lawrence the Deacon, pray for us!
St. Clare, pray for us!

I visited the family last Sunday.

We ate affordable hamburgers (even dogs too had their fair share!) & got the outdoor antenna as well. Just need the bamboo pole to set it up. Need to do some clearing at the branches for a better signal too.

Well, they haven’t watched TV for months. Indoor antenna has poor reception. Their old outdoor antenna was lost on the typhoon that passed here last October.

Anyway, there’s only one channel that has good reception with they had the old outdoor antenna before. I wonder what will be the reception of channels this time? 🤷

continued prayers for you and family during rosary hour,

God Bless

Most Holy Face of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
St. Joseph, pray for us!
St. Frances de Chantal, pray for us!
St. Pontian, pray for us!
St. Hippolytus, pray for us!
St. Maximilian Kolbe, pray for us!
St. Rock, pray for us!
Blessed Pedro Zuñiga, pray for us!

Visited family last Sunday. Supposed to be that I would visit them as well in a weekday, but never happened at all.

We had affordable chicken burgers when I arrived. Outdoor antenna wasn’t installed yet. No bamboo pole yet to place the antenna. Told them to get a steel pipe/pole instead, but they said that would break when bent by strong winds, unlike a bamboo pole that would bend but not may not break.

Walked the dogs after many months of not having walked them out of the house.

Did some trimming of foliage as well. Gardening, that is. 🙂

Dear friend you have doing a lot for this family. Continued prayers during rosary hour

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Mary, Queen of all Saints, pray for us!
Saint Bernard, pray for us!
Saint Pius X, pray for us!
Saint Rose of Lima, pray for us!
Saint Bartholomew, pray for us!

Visited the family today. Added a few meters of coaxial cable for the outdoor antenna since the wire included in the device is still too short to be used outside. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work. Still no clear picture. Got sound though. It doesn’t seem it’s the TV that is defective, since the Menu/Settings are clear (although it’s in Korean language, the breadwinner son brought it second hand).

I really feel some sadness in what’s going on. What I am doing is on my own. No one is helping me since way back. And if I do ask for help, it seems no one wants to. Like that in Facebook, I asked some of my past high school classmates to help me & them but there was none. 😦

Continued Prayers for you and this family you are helping out whether I am able to post or not…

Prayer to the Child Jesus recited every evening in the Sanctuary of Arenzano in Italy

O Holy Child Jesus, who shed Your blessings on whoever invokes Your name,
look kindly on us who kneel humbly before Your holy Image,
and hear our prayers.

We commend to Your mercy the many poor and needy people who trust in Your Divine Heart.
Lay Your all powerful hand upon them and help them in their needs.
Lay Your hand upon the sick, to cure them and sanctify their suffering;
upon those in distress, to console them; upon sinners,
to draw them into the light of your divine grace;
upon all those who, stricken with grief and suffering,
turn trustingly to You for loving help.

Lay Your hand also upon all of us and give us Your blessing.

O little King, grant the treasures of Your divine mercy to all the world,
and keep us now and always in the grace of your love! Amen.

St. Francis, the little poor man of Assisi, we invoke you as the admirable mirror you were of our Divine Master. You imitated Christ the Lord in your humility and obedience. You faithfully followed Him in poverty and weakness. With joy you accepted suffering, contempt, and trials for the sake of His Name. In your goodness, help us, then, to imitate your example. By your power with God, obtain for us the special favor we now seek through your intercession (state your special intention). Please Pray for prbarrera as he is Praying and helping a family who is in great need.

Please pray for us, gentle and happy saint of the poor, that we may always be loyal followers of Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and filled always with divine riches. Amen.

A Prayer for the poor by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those people throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger. Give them through our hands, this day, their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and Joy. Amen

Official Prayer of the Group for the poor

Dear Lord,
We lift up to you the poor and the marginalized.

We know that these are your cherished ones, that you are a God whose heart cries out for justice, that you are a God who longs to feed the hungry. We ask simply, Lord, that you give us your heart.

Fill us Lord with your compassion, give us your eyes to see, give us boldness and selflessness and wisdom, so that we too might cry out for justice and feed the hungry, so that your light might shine throughout the earth.

Lord, we especially lift up the children among us who are poor and marginalized, finding themselves in circumstances they did not choose and helpless to change. We lift up AIDS orphans, children of war, children suffering abuse and neglect, children smitten with malnutrition and disease, lacking education, housing or the most basic of life’s necessities. Might they somehow come to know the love of their Creator, who knows each hair on their head and collects their tears.

Lord, you know every wretched tale. Every overwhelming statistic, you know personally, one by one. Thank you that one day you will make all things right through your Son, Jesus Christ.

Until that day, let us be tireless in doing what is good and what is right unto the least of these, knowing the Father’s love for them. Amen
