Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen

**This is truly heartbreaking. May David be resting in peace with God.
Praying hard for D.S. and her family.

God of all consolation,
in your unending love and mercy for us,
you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life.
Show compassion to your people in sorrow.
Be our refuge and our strength to lift us
from the darkness of this grief
to peace and joy in your presence.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen**

** Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. **

Compassionate Jesus, I remember your gentle invitation to “Come…and be refreshed.” I bring you now all my worries, fears, needs and doubts, and those of my world. I entrust to you my loved ones, both living and deceased. Enfold us all in your love, now and evermore.

Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto David, O Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon him
May he rest in peace
Amen.

Father God, I lift up to you Dennis’ mom, his wife, and his children. Please grant them strength and an abiding faith in you. May they be comforted in their loss. Amen.

Dear lord, please bring peace and comfort to this broken-hearted family.
Give them your strength and your love as they try to make sense of this tragedy.
Be with them in all the steps they need to take in order to heal from this. They
will always have a hole in their hearts, so please show them how to fill it with love
and good memories of David, and not of bitterness. Rest in God’s peace David.
Amen

**Tragic. Senseless. Heart breaking. “Why?” No one can answer…

In times like this we must choose – move away from God, or move toward God.

Today, we pray for a family grieving the loss of David.

“God, bring comfort and peace. Peace is your essence. Peace is your name. Bring peace to this family who has lost their precious David in death.

We come to you, God because we know that you sorrow, and are acquainted with grief. You too have endured the loss of a child. You empathize.

We can’t help but ask, “Why?” Forgive our insistence, our confusion, even our anger. We believe that you are just, and we ache to understand how this tragic death is an expression of that justice, how it expresses your love. We also know – in our minds at least – that you seldom answer the “why?” question. We press you, but on these matters you are mostly silent.

What we ask instead is “how?” How can we move forward? How can this bring us together and not tear us apart? How can we now live under the shadow of this untimely death? Answer this prayer with your comfort and guidance.

There is no way to remove the pain. The grief is real. The only sanity is to know, to believe, in a life beyond with you, when all the scales are righted and the sufferings are made good. We trust you and your promise that while David’s life on earth is done, his life beyond has just begun. With that release we lose him and let him go into your arms, then by faith receive in return the boundless comfort of your presence. That is all, that is enough. In Jesus’ name. Amen”**

** Pater noster, qui es in cælis, sanctificetur nomen tuum; adveniat regnum tuum; fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris; et ne nos inducas in tentationem Sed libera nos a malo. Amen

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen. **
