Now, we just need to hear something from Beng

You and I were thinking on the same lines. I did the same thing earlier this morning. I have since heard from Reilly as you have.

Already is a ‘Happy’ new year that a fellow CA member is doing fine (Reilly). However, let us not forget about Beng. Anyone else from the affected areas who has been on the Forums?

Any word on Beng yet? 😦 Still praying. I offered my Mass for him and all of those who died or are in need from this tragedy.
 
I haven’t heard. I keep checking my e-mail. I will let you know if I get any information. I hope you all will do the same. 🙂

Whilst my prayers are with beng, I have to ask if this is a catholic forum and catholic means universal why is no-one praying in the condolence thread for the whole area affected by the Tsunami or do you all only think about americans??

I believe almost all of the entire Global community is praying every day for the ‘big’ picture and that includes everyone involved.

I saw a few people make a prayer in the main prayer thread…Well I have seen no evidence of a condolence thread nor a prayer thread until I posted one and still not one of you have made a prayer there and this tells me all I need to know…for a Catholic forum that is appalling!! It’s insular , it’s not catholic and I don’t like it!!!

Beng is not an American. His home is in East Java.

We pray for ***all ** * affected. When we “know” someone who has been affected, it simply brings the tragedy into greater focus.

Dear friend

If that is the case then make the prayer for all those who are there and make it in such a way that it shows catholics are indeed universal , because I saw nothing of it at all!!! No mention of global love no mention of love for all brothers and sisters and no thread dedicated to it until I made one, not that I am perfect, I am not, but you lot here on this forum have been appalling at showing the love and kindness of Christ in your words, which on a forum that is afterall , all you have , love and WORDS!!

Thanks for clarifying this for all to see…I just thought that universal prayer was a given.:confused: I know I’ve been praying for ALL since this terrible disaster struck and I can say that without a doubt that most, if not all CA members have joined in to pray as well.

Our parish is pumping in a big way for the Catholic Relief Services effort, and took up a collection today and will take collections at every Sunday Mass for the next two weeks. Who is NOT praying and doing whatever he can for those desperate people?

Beng is not American. Reilly lives in Thailand. We are praying for all. Just so happens here we are looking for board members. End of story. We have several threads going fopr all concerned…Hope that makes you feel better. If not, sorry.

Use your search. We have pleanty of threads for prayers and help to offer. Praying for you too. It must be something you ate. :rolleyes:

OH! And in prayer requests…there is even a member who asked us to pray for the dead fish! Bout covers it I think. 🙂

Yes, this why this thread was started. It is for a specific reason and person. There are many threads on this forum for specific reasons and a specific people. Individual prayer is welcomed on this forum as is general prayer.

I am suprised that an innocent thread like this could take such a negative turn.

I also do not think that this thread is non-catholic.
