Prayers for "Beng" a CA member

Yes, this why this thread was started. It is for a specific reason and person. There are many threads on this forum for specific reasons and a specific people. Individual prayer is welcomed on this forum as is general prayer.

I am suprised that an innocent thread like this could take such a negative turn.

I also do not think that this thread is non-catholic.

Just add her to your prayers Jen,

Something happened to her while she was on line last night. She got very ill before the night was over. We pray she will be ok. The postings were not really her way of thinking and talking. She suffered some type of medical condition that set it off we think.

I am not surprised because there are many anticatholic and antiamericans that visit us. I have encountered them many a time on different threads. Shis was a very genuine thread to pray for a specific person that some of you know through previous communications. I am pleased to be part of this forum where people take a genuine concern. Don’t be troubled by trouble makers. Keep up your interest and prayers. Negativity abounds in the world and we have to block it out ang pray for those who disperse it. Some negative posters are prevalent and others just come for a few posts. They all need our prayers. I know I will be attacked for praying for this, for the negative find prayers also to not be OK. I will await the attack.

If that is the case then make the prayer for all those who are there and make it in such a way that it shows catholics are indeed universal , because I saw nothing of it at all!!! No mention of global love no mention of love for all brothers and sisters and no thread dedicated to it until I made one, not that I am perfect, I am not, but you lot here on this forum have been appalling at showing the love and kindness of Christ in your words, which on a forum that is afterall , all you have , love and WORDS!!

Didn’t you go to mass yesterday? Every parish was taking up a second collection to go to Catholic Relief Servicesfor the tsunami victims. The general intercessions included prayers for their relief and for the repose of the souls of those who have died.

Most of us here are involved in our parishes and are praying and working at the parish level for those tsunami victims. I don’t see how you can condemn the Catholic Church for what some Catholics do or don’t do on a discussion forum. It just doesn’t make sense.

The real question, Teresa, is why are you so angry all the time?

In one of Teresa9’s posts she said that she has a problem with anger. That she has alot of rage she holds inside and when her rage does come out, she feels ineffective and usually doesn’t say much.

I think last night, she overcame that problem. She let her rage out in a very noticeable way.

You missed the posts that had to be removed. Just pray for her. She had a meltdown that was not pretty. Very sad indeed. We are glad the Mod’s took those posts down. Teresa need prayers, not condemnation.

I “know” Beng from another Catholic forum, and there he posted where he was from. He was a student in the US and returned to East Java about two weeks before the tragedy. I don’t have his personal email address.

Theresa has many many posts that are caring and full of love. We all have our weaknesses and it doesn’t help when they are pointed out over and over again. It is not nice to belittle and make fun of people at their expense. I say this in no way trying to place myself above anyone else for I too have my weaknesses.

I just felt that some positive things needed to be said.

Beng’s Island was East Java, Bahasa, Indonesia. Beng’s also participated on the Indonesian board: ekaristi.orgÊ There his screen name is Deusvult. His last post there was 12/26 at 4:30 am. Examining the timestamp of the message, it seems that the board is set to Indonesian time (15 hours ahead of Pacific Time, meaning that he posted at 1:30pm on the 25th Pacific Time).

The quake occurred at 7:59 a.m. on the 26th’s (Jakarta and ekaristi time), three and a half ours AFTER Beng posted, so the post does not provide proof that he got through the tsunamis. It would, however, show that he has at least sporadic Internet access over there–IF he posted it after getting home.ÊÊ

Actually that is exactly what Terese did, she kept pointing out in post after post how awful Americans are and that she hates and despises us and she called us names. I don’t think I have ever read such a hateful post on the forums.

I didn’t follow all of her earlier posts, so I didn’t know she was diagnosed with mental illness.

I have never read that she has a mental illness. Where does it say this? I do know that some wrote she wasn’t feeling well.

Thanks Jen for caring for all the members and keeping us in check. I know that the people that are unchristian, anticatholic, or antiamerican are suffering in their own way. I am really glad that for the most part the posters are all caring about the other members well being. I hope we hear from Beng soon and he will be in my prayers until that time, as well as all the others suffering too with this disaster.

At first I really thought that somehow Teresa’s password was compromised but at a certain point I knew she was really suffering and needed our help.

I asked if anyone knew a way to contact a moderator so the thread could be shut down and removed.

Someone whose name I can’t remember tried and it didn’t work but eventually someone else did and the thread was history and I’m sure we all hope the memory of last night will also be’history’ for Theresa’s sake and well as that of CA.

My question now is:

In emergencies like last night, what can we do to contact a moderator in a hurry??

Thank you for clearing that up. I guess that information was in the deleted post.

In regards to other stuff…It was not directed towards you. I just seem to feel that some posts were in that light. If I have offened you please accept my apologies. I do not like to preach especially since I have faults of my own but I did.

I am proud to be an American, a song comes to mind, since my Dad was in the military. I don’t like to hear other’s talk bad our country either. Yet, they do.

I finally got the Mods by clicking Forum Leaders link on the front page. There is one email addie and I used it. Ann showed up asap! and took care of the problem.

And Jen,
We were all doing our best to figure out what was going on. The foul language and other really over the top statements of hatred for CA and the US made no sense. Especially to those who know her.

I don’t know her at all, but it was obvious she was in trouble emotionally. Each post got worse and worse. It took us a very long time to get it shut down.

Even those who did not know her, were alarmed for HER, not the board. She was in trouble and we did the best we could. If that isn’t love then I don’t know what is. Almost everyone tried to work with her charitably. And those who did not at first soon caught on that it was way out of character from those who know her. She had megga defense and prayers offered, never fear. The post above still stands, and those who were not in on her meltdown or just part of it (it was all over the boards btw) don’t deserve chastizement either. They did not know the full story. (For that matter none of us really still do.)

Praying for her is the best we can all do.
