Prayers for desperate job situation

Lee went to interview today at the Shearon-Harris Nuclear Power Plant, 20 miles outside of Raleigh. It is actually only 15 minutes farther away from my mom and sister than we are now because it is right down the Interstate from Richmond. If Lee can get this job, he could theoretically work anywhere in the US. ANYWHERE. This place is locked up as tight as Area 51. They are looking for 23 new recruits (8 weeks of training-including 3 weeks of SWAT-style gun training) to take Supervisor positions when 2 new reactors start being built in 2008. Lee has been working for the company, Securitas Security USA, for 2 years now and has over 30 certifications with them. He was the Field Supervisor last year and is currently a Site Supervisor for Areva–Nuclear Logistics. Yeah it is a dangerous job. But considering VA lost three Officers this year to shootings, it is not anymore dangerous than what he is doing now.

This could be it. This could be the career he retires from. It is scaring me to death, thinking about moving with all the pets and everything, but something has to change because we can’t afford to live like this with the wages he is getting paid here in this area. Raleigh is twice the size of Roanoke AND Lynchburg together. There are many things to come together for this to work. Lee has to be offered the job, he has to be able to pass the physical and the training too.

Please keep us in your prayers/thoughts—for this to work out Divine Will and for me not to have a stroke worrying about it.

Ravyn, you are stronger than you know. Place more faith and trust in God than you ever have, and allow Him to reveal His Divine plan to you. He will give you what you need, rather than what you want, but it is all for the perfection of your soul. Take comfort that the promises of Christ are true and that He never fails, only we do. Since even the hairs of your head are counted, allow Him to work His miracles in your life, that you not stifle the realization of His Divine will.
Blessed Lord of all, grant Ravyn the peace which Your Blessed Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, left us when He ascended to You. Grant her a healing calmness, through Your Holy Spirit, which will comfort and guide her into your perfect plan. Reveal to her, Blessed Lord, how you have been with her through violence and evil in the past, delivering her to the promise of eternal joy in You, the One True God. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
