I am asking if anyone has the strength and time to please pray for me to God and Mary and whoever can possibly help me right now.

I have been struggling very hard in my life, and God has always been a rock for me. However, be it through the work of the devil, my own mind, or the trials God has declared for me (or a combination of all three) my faith is starting to shut down. I am doubt God in ways I never have before and I don’t know how to keep on with my faith. I need clarity. I feel like I can’t take communion because my faltering faith hasn’t given me the strength I needed to combat sins I have always struggled with and I have fallen back in to those, and I don’t know if I can even take communion because of this and those doubts. I feel so lost right now, and…I really do want to love and trust Jesus like I used to…I just don’t know if I can anymore. I feel so abandoned by him, and so utterly alone. He was such a big part of my life for so long that I feel like I am losing a best friend or a close family member. I feel like I trusted him and he has let me down.

Advice isn’t what I really need right now. I am meeting with a priest about this issue as soon as I can get ahold of him, and I am talking to some people in my church about possibly switching to another parish that would be better set up to receive me and help me than mine is. I just need prayer to get through this. I was born non-christian and the devil had a firm grip on me then. I don’t want to go back to him. But I don’t feel like I can trust God any more. PLEASE PRAY. Everything else seems to have failed. I can’t even receive the strength of communion anymore because of this. I am so utterly cut off.

I am praying that you will learn to love God more than sin.
You know it’s comments like these that are what have kept me from asking for help until now. There are better places to make comments like these than people asking for help. Thanks.

Dear whitacre girl you are in my prayers.Im sorry you are having these doubts come in your mind. This is perfectly natural from time to time. You are right to see your priest as soon as you can.God bless

Prayer for Strength and Faith
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Dear Lord, see me through these hard times. In these troubling times, I am filled with unspeakable fears. I reach out my hand to you now, And ask you to walk besides me. I cannot carry all my burdens, But I know you can, and will. Please walk beside me. Please guide me. Please help me hold on strong, Through the trials and storms. Help me hold on to my faith, In even the darkest hour. Stay with me Lord, And show me Your way. In your love and Holy Spirit I abide. Amen.

Father God, I come into your presence so aware of my human frailty and yet overwhelmed by your love for me. I thank you that there is no human experience that I might walk through where your love cannot reach me. If I climb the highest mountain you are there and yet if I find myself in the darkest valley of my life, you are there. Teach me today to love you more. Help me to rest in that love that asks nothing more than the simple trusting heart of a child. In Jesus name, Amen

Praying for you.
Thank you. It’s taken a lot of guts to post this because I have been treated pretty rudely on these boards when asking for help before, but I need people who can honestly pray for me to do so. I need all the help I can get.

Thank you. Some of the people I’ve been able to talk to have said it’s normal to have these doubts when facing the obstacles that I am right now, but it’s scary to me because I haven’t had this hard of a hit to my faith since…well, ever. I refuse to go down without a fight though.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

I’m eclectic. I like anything that is good. 😉

That was excellent. Thank you.

EDIT: Wait, that was Matt Maher??? IS HE CATHOLIC??? runs off to wikipedia to find out

EDIT MORE: yes…he is. Holy cow. Biography of Matt Maher, Christian Musician and Worship Leader

It may help you to read up on/pray to Blessed Mother Teresa - she heroically suffered through a lengthy and difficult dry spell indeed.

You will be in my prayers, and I also suggest that you pray the rosary, even if you don’t feel like it. Don’t give up hope. Always remember: No matter how far off God might feel, no matter how many doubts you have, He still loves you and you will never be alone. Always remember that!

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

God bless you and may He grant you peace.

Very well said indeed! You know, Whitacre_Girl, these frustrating feelings and loss of the grace-presence of God happen to us all; and unfortunately; are quite normal. But prayer, Eucharist, and Holy Scripture are the ticket. A good spiritual re-alignment tool is Scripture. Often I take a quiet moment somewhere and open the Bible. I don’t know where it will open to; it really doesn’t matter. Then I open my mind and soul to let God speak. The I know His voice as I read.
God be with you.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. :crossrc:

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.

Amen.

I know you were stressed about something else earlier in the day. Stress does alter the chemical balance in our brains and bodies and does throw us around mentally and emotionally, especially if we live in a stressful environment or have lots of worries. Please don’t be too hard on yourself. I think you’d be surprised at who has gone through dry times, doubting times, when they have been through and are going through a lot of battles, as you have been and are.

Please know you’re not alone, and know that we are praying for you.
Hugs, Trishie

Thank you very much. Your kind words really mean a lot to me right now. 😊

It is refreshing to see your willingness to seek help in prayer when you have been rebuffed in the past. But please believe you are not alone and I, among many others, do not judge your doubt and only pray for your strength and peace. I am so happy to hear that you will be speaking with a priest for guidance and will pray that he is kind and supportive to help you along your path.

Dear Whitacre girl you are still in my thoughts and prayers God bless.
A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.
