UPDATE: Teresa and pollyloges, I just want to thank you for your ever faithful prayers for my friend Gio. I visited with him on Wednesday evening for several hours and he mentioned that he believes all of the prayers being said for him are helping him. Although still quite ill, he has been in his home now since March with no returns to the hospital. He feels that he is in a much better place spiritually, having had some recent breakthroughs in his relationship with our Lord and the Holy Mother.
He has two adult children still living in the home. They are baptized Catholic, but never received their first communion or confirmation as he was away from the church for many years. Both are doing some things with the church now, and will be entering RCIA in the fall. Gio says he wants nothing more than to be there at the ceremony when they are confirmed next Spring. I so much appreciate your continued prayers for him and the children. We should also for his dear wife who works so hard outside the home and to care for him.
Thank you again dear friends for your beautiful prayers. :grouphug: Much love in Christ!
Mother Mary, St. Joseph, and St. Andre, thank you for your intercession on behalf of my dear friend Gio. Please ask our Lord to give him the graces to draw even closer to the Lord and to fill him with his spirit so that he has the strength to endure these illnesses and trials. Please also ask the Lord to fill dear Gio with peace, hope, and love and to help him avoid anger and despair. Please help him to guide is children in their relationship with the Lord and give his wife the strength she needs to keep doing all that is being asked of her. Please guide his doctors and continue to provide financial resources for the family so that they can afford the medical treatments he needs. Please ask the Lord to heal him if that be his holy will. Amen.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen
