Hi Maria,
Praying very hard for you to heal and find Jesus’ Peace.
Praying very hard for you to heal and find Jesus’ Peace.
Thank you…Hi Maria,
Praying very hard for you to heal and find Jesus’ Peace.
Thank you. That has actually crossed my mind and I’ve been reading the bulletins for that info. There is one for my age group that meets monthly it looks like. I’ve been wanting to meet some new people in my parish. I have expressed my interest in a few of the committees that they have…I’m just waiting on the info or response from the parrish office. You have found a good thing - the church. Cling to it - it will help you through. Lent is coming - this can be a good time to help you get through this - offer up what you are suffering. You WILL get over it in time, even though it may not seem like it now.
I would suggest that you look for a Catholic young people’s group in your parish or diocese and meet some new people who share the same faith. Something to do with your free time so you won’t be thinking about him. They may even have activities for valentine’s day.
Keep busy - pray. It will get better, believe me.
God bless - I will remember you in my prayers.
Gotta beware, cause You only know what yourself is doing, that goes for all of usOMG that is almost a mirror of my situation I posted on here last week except my ex gf actually cheated on me but at least came out and told me and blamed her unhappiness for me “not listening enough on IM” and she did this 6 days before I was going to fly out and visit for 10 days! so I had to cancel the flight reservation on top of my broken heart!I would be there now if things went how I was almost 100% sure they would just 10 days ago!. It’s not like our relationship went down hill, everything was fine and just bam! she just texted me and ended it. I called her to ask if she was joking or what the hell she was talking about and she couldn’t even answer my phone! To this day we haven’t even talked on the phone and she just ended this all through a series of texts! I was so lost, emotionally destroyed, and confused after how loving our relationship seemed to be to me! Especially since we both were pedging to be pure until marriage and she seemed so serious about it yet it stabbed me so hard in the heart when I heard she was talking to " a friend " guy about me and she was telling him how unhappy she was ( I didn’t even know she was unhappy or what was bothering her!) and she started crying and somehow they ended up having sex!! so much for purity!
It’s amazing how much you seem to know someone after talking for so long and then finding out it was all a hoax and a lie!
I didn’t know she was even unhappy the past month cuz she lied and told me she loved me and wanted to have kids with me for 5 months straight and stuff! and even told me she missed me and loved me and couldn’t wait for me to come out and visit the night before she confessed and broke it off! ??? So like the past 6 weeks or so I was led to believe we were fine (except maybe 1 or 2 fights which we resolved the next day) and all was well and then bam I was in the car when she just said " I think we should be friends, I cheated on you and it made me realize how unhappy I am with you ect. ect.!![]()
!! and I was so happy that day because I just finished college finals and was on my way home and going to visit her in a few days and bam that happened and I didn’t even see it coming!
It sucks how stupid and sudden things can really destroy your heart. I was happy and singing one minute in the car and calling my parents the next telling them she just ended it and sobbing for a bit ( guy’s cry too ) on the way home.
I know how you feel! and can totally relate! I’m praying for you too!
Praying for you Maria. You sound like a good and decent Soul. Keep praying, stay busy, time will heal this relationship and before you know it, you’ll find you’ve moved on.Yes, He is the One that I can count on…
Yet it’s still rather depressing…especially during this time with Valentine’s Day fast approaching and knowing all my friends will be with their husbands and significant others…even Gil.

God bless you MariaI find it easier to be strong and heal as long as I stay away from information about him and what he’s doing in his life and relationships.
I’m trying to take this time to focus on myself and learn more about my faith. I have a thirst for knowledge about my faith since I’ve been gone too long, so besides praying and saying the rosary, I’ve been using my other free time to read.
Thank you all for your continued prayers! You have no idea how much it touches my heart…I’m so glad to have found this forum because it holds so many special and loving individuals…even though we may never meet face to face, I can still tell how much each of you care!
I’m sure we will all meet in heaven one day! :heaven:
