I have just returned from my every three week treatment for my colon cancer.

We did not do the treatment because I am feeling sick. I have an antibiotic prescription that is being filled.

We will give treatment another try in a week to see if I am feeling better but we are most likely going to drop one of the drugs, Avastin, because of nose bleeding (it can cause a perforation of the septum of the nose). We may start a new drug, or we may just give a longer break as my nurse practitioner says that sometime we just have to give the body time to rest.

So I would like to ask everyone to pray for a healing, not only of my cancer, but also of all these other things and all the side effects. If not a total healing then at least a bit of a lessening in the side effects.

But as Jesus said, “your will be done.”

Praying for a quick recovery and full remission of your cancer.

Lord God in heaven, we beseech Your unfathomable mercy upon ByzCath, whose faith and love are well known to us, but most especially to You. Grant that a period of rest and thankful prayer will allow ByzCath’s body to recover from the damage done in combatting this most insidious disease. Nourishment is needed for this recovery, O Lord, and so we ask that You grant a healthy appetite which will allow this to occur. May ByzCath offer up all suffering in union with Your Son’s agony and death on the cross. Dear God, we ask, on ByzCath’s behalf, that You inspire the minds; that You inflame with love, the hearts of all who treat and care for this precious soul. Grant this, Heavenly Father, through the perfect intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You and the most Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen. Alleluia!

I am praying for you and I hope you will experience less discomfort very soon!

:hug3:

For your prayer request:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying for your intentions….

Lord Jesus, You have said,
“Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.”
With confidence in Your loving heart
which offers rest to weary souls,
we come to You in this time of special need.
In Your unfailing love,
read the prayer that is written on our hearts,
and grant the grace that we ask of You,
in accordance with Your holy will.
In Your name we pray.
Amen.

Thank you for your prayers. I have been on antibiotics for four days now and am feeling much better than I did before.

Hopefully we will get back on track with my treatments this Wednesday.

God is merciful! You have been added to my litany of cancer sufferers for whom I pray daily. God willing, I will lift you up in prayer before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament after my own cancer treatment this week.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
