It has been so long since I’ve reported back to all of you. I’m so sorry. Lots has been going on in my life & Franks. Sometimes I can’t even talk about it. First of all, our other siblings that neglected him for so many years ARE continuing to make the trip to the VA. hospital periodically…so that’s good. They have also invited me to one of their “family breakfasts” & though I’m still not able to forgive & pretend nothing happened…I’m working on it & believe I’ll get there. Pray that I might forgive as that’s what God wants from all of us. The ability to forgive that we might BE forgiven.

Secondly, the surgery to reverse the colostomy is going to be more complicated than I first thought & Frank can’t really leave the VA. convelescent center until they can either operate on that or restore his eyesight so that he may be able to care for himself.

The GOOD news is that his spirits are good, he’s now walking ALL ALONE. He keeps leaving his cane behind because he forgets it!!!
It’s hard to explain his tremendous achievments…Martha & I have been going to KU Med with him & been able to listen in on some of the sessions he has had with his original surgeons this past month. They’re all AMAZED at his recovery. None of them expected him to ever leave the hospital & his cardioligist said that it was touch & go throughout his heart surgery & his chances of surviving that weren’t good…so we’re all giving thanks for every day he is better & strong. He’s spending much of his time outside in the gardens & is more at peace than I’ve ever known him to be.

I believe with all of my heart that the prayers you’ve been saying since last March are the reason for his recovery…you & St. Jude. I don’t know if you all remember, but Thurs. was St. Jude’s feast day…so I just had to spend that day with Frank so that we could give thanks. This morning, my daughter took me back down to the hospital & I snuck in some “contraband”…CHOCOLATE!!! (just a little bit.) & on Nov. 18th there’s going to be a Thanksgiving Day party at the hospital. My husband & I turned in our positive response for the party today.

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Dearest St. Jude, the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for my brother to become physically well enough to come home & for the welfare of his soul; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my Brother’s assistance in this great need, that he may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all his necessities, tribulations and sufferings, and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity.

**I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee. Amen **

Dear Lord thankyou for hearing our prayers and thankyou for helping Frank with his serious health problems.I also thankyou for CradleCath who has been such a wonderful sister to Frank in supporting him and bringing together her other siblings in reuniting with Frank.Please grant that the complicated surgery is successful and he will one day be able to leave the hospital to live in his home.I thankyou Lord for Frank’s good spirits and that the opportunity has arisen for this family to reunite around him.Lord I thankyou for hearing the intercession of Our Blessed Lady whose intercession has helped Frank.Please grant continued strength to CradleCath and Martha that they will remain the support Frank needs.For all Your many blessings to this family Lord I thankyou.Amen

Thank you, SO much Teresa & Sidhe. I went for weeks without reporting back to you, yet here you are praying & cheering us on, within 24 hrs. of reading my post.

Blessed are You, God of Unity,
for entering our lives through friendship.
Make us, we pray, worthy of such a gift
by being ever grateful
for the gift of good friends.

Please Bless these two, TBCrawford & Sidhe. They have prayed daily for myself, Martha & my Brother Frank for 8 MONTHS & their prayers & mine are being answered everyday.

I ask you, Father, to always walk with them…during the good times & the bad…throughout their lives.
