Dear Lord thankyou for hearing our prayers and thankyou for helping Frank with his serious health problems.I also thankyou for CradleCath who has been such a wonderful sister to Frank in supporting him and bringing together her other siblings in reuniting with Frank.Please grant that the complicated surgery is successful and he will one day be able to leave the hospital to live in his home.I thankyou Lord for Frank’s good spirits and that the opportunity has arisen for this family to reunite around him.Lord I thankyou for hearing the intercession of Our Blessed Lady whose intercession has helped Frank.Please grant continued strength to CradleCath and Martha that they will remain the support Frank needs.For all Your many blessings to this family Lord I thankyou.Amen

God bless you, Teresa & Sidhe. I spent a lot of time with Frank last week because of Veterans day. The hospital had something going all day long last Wednesday. They had special treats…the staff brought home made cake, cookies, pies, etc. for the patients & family were encouraged to come. They ran some special videos in the evening for us & TOMMOROW they are having a Thanksgiving Day dinner. These wonderful people, sent us handwritten invitations so my husband, our son & daughter that live near & Martha are going. Please pray for these SPECIAL people that take care of our soldiers & veterans. They go the extra mile.

Dear Lord, I thank You so much for restoring my Brothers health to the place it is now & pray that You’ll continue to bless him with further improvement…physically, mentally & spiritually. It would mean so much to me if he would be able to attend Mass with me someday. Watch over him Lord, he’s been in the hospital for 9 months & he’s worked very hard at therapy. I pray that he might be able to have the surgery to reverse his colostomy before too much longer as I can see discouragement creeping into his spirit. I trust You completely, dear Father, to do whatever is best for him, according to Your plan for Frank’s life. Thank you for my many blessings, my husband, my wonderful children & grandchildren, & yes…my dog Ben. He always cheers me up when I’ve been to the hospital & is definitely a great gift from You.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be Adored, Glorified, Loved & Preserved throughout the world, now & forever. Sacred Heart of Jesus, please pray for my Brother. Saint Jude, Worker of Miracles, please pray for Frank . Saint Jude, Helper of the Hopeless, please pray for me that I may continue to be there for Frank during this busy upcoming season. Last but not least, please bless these wonderful people who work at the hospital & are so dedicated to our veterans.

It’s late here 9:40 PM. & we just got home from the Thanksgiving Day celebration at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital. I had to send a short report…it was SO nice. The Turkey, Dressing, Cranberries, etc. were made in the cafeteria, but the staff brought their homemade treats, “goodie bags” for each patient, filled with decks of cards, oranges & apples, stationery, etc. I took apple cobbler, my daughter brought Frank a picture album she’d made from pictures taken when she & Frank & Martha’s daughter were young together…they are the same age & have been very close throughout their lifetimes. Martha brought him tons of quarters for the coffee & candy machines. My son took him a pair of Missouri University house slippers. (He’s a graduate of MU. & we are ALL big fans of their football team).

We were all laughing & talking about how were we going to beat this at Christmas time. I looked over & saw tears in Frank’s eyes & we all got quiet. Then he said, “You’re not, for Christmas, the best gift you could give me is your presence & the knowledge that NO MATTER WHAT, I can depend on you”.

So…of course, we’re really racking our brains about the next holiday. He has terrible eyesight, always has & excessive drinking has further affected his eyes. However, they have him doing eye exercises everyday & have scheduled cataract surgery early next month. SO…Christmas will be about BOOKS. He has always loved to read.

God Bless you all & now, I’m going to bed. It’s an hour drive each way to the hospital & my eyes are getting heavy.:sleep::hug1:

He said too tell “my prayer friends” thank you SO much to keep “bugging the Blessed Virgin & St. Jude”.

Jesus, You know from Your experience what is is to die in a horrible, ugly way. You saw Your loved Mother and Your dear friends, John and Magdalen, standing in shock and anguish before Your tortured, dying body. Now this man’s family sees their loved one suffering horribly.
Jesus in Your understanding and compassion, please give them comfort and strength.
Please gently draw Frank towards peace and eternal release and happiness, as in the meantime everything is done to make him as comfortable as possible.
