*** Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done,
on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins,
my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen

Thanks to all of you who are fervently praying for my brother & I. He is about the same.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

To you Blessed Mother do I come. You watched your Son go through such agony. You know what it’s like. I ask you to comfort my brother with your presence & to "pray for us sinners, now & at the hour of our death."

Heavenly Father, please help my brother to feel Your mercy & Your forgiveness. Teach us all to watch and pray, that when Your summons comes for our departure from this world, we may go forth to meet You, experience a merciful judgment, and rejoice in everlasting happiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
For your intentions…

O Sweet Jesus,
I desire neither life, nor death,
but Your most holy will.
You are the One, O Lord, that I long for.
If it be Your holy will to have me die, receive my soul;
and grant that in You and with You,
I may receive everlasting rest.
If it be Your holy will to have me live longer upon this earth,
give me the grace to amend the rest of my life,
and with good works to glorify Your Holy Name.
Amen

I’m so sorry that I’ve been remiss in thanking all of you for your prayers for my brother, Frank. At the first of last week, he went into a crisis situation, so I stayed in the hospital with him for 3 days & 2 nights & have been back & forth every other day since then. I’d like for you, if possible, to add his ex-wife (she left him when he was drinking, but never really “left” if you know what I mean) to your prayers. She has been through this cirrhosis nightmare with him from the time he was diagnosed & she’s also spent nights at the hospital with him, but last week…she received an urgent call from Kentucky that her oldest sister was dying. She started the trip to Ky. on Thurs., but she didn’t make it in time. She is carrying a BIG load right now, as she is Franks’ best friend & confidant & loved her big sister, Madelyn very much.

Some better news. My brother is breathing on his own for the first time since April 8. He is still on a dialysis machine &, of course, he’ll always have to deal with the colostomy bag, he cannot speak because the Trache tube is still there in case he does need help with his breathing.

Giving thanks to You, God, for all people in my life, who are making things better for Frank, especially Martha, bless her & comfort her in her loss. Thank You also for my loving husband who is standing beside me during this & for the fact that he’s perfectly willing to put up with
“undusted” furniture, for my son & daughter who live close & are helping with the 140 mi. trip I make to see Frank.

I ask You to bless my brother, You have already eased his pain, & to continue to send Him Your peace. Your divine help is so evident in his eyes & his whole demeanor.

Behold me, my beloved Jesus,
weighed down under the burden of my trials and sufferings,
I cast myself at Your feet,
that You may renew my strength and my courage,
while I rest here in Your Presence.
Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart,
for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me;
only Your love can help me bear my cross;
only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.
O Divine King, Jesus,
whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted,
I wish to live in You;
suffer and die in You.
During my life be to me my model and my support;
At the hour of my death,
be my hope and my refuge.

Amen.

I’d like to ask for prayers for my brother, Frank. He’s in the end stages of a horrible, ugly disease. Please ask God to be with him in his suffering & to take his soul home to rest in the “green pastures” of heaven when He is ready.
Lord, in Your mercy deliver Your child from this horrible suffering to glory in Your presence I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

Praying hard for Frank, whole family and loved ones.
Thank you all SO MUCH. Finally, I get to share some good news. It’s not really a big thing, but it’s BIG to me. My Brother spoke this morning for the first time since Apr. 13. Yep, his breathing is so much better that they are capping off the Tracheotomy tube, for 8 hrs. during the daytime. This means that if all goes well, they’ll be able to remove it before long.

He can now put aside the suction device & sponges for most of the day & actually swallow his own spittle. Sorry to be gross, but that has been SO VERY uncomfortable for him.

Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, Thank you for looking kindly upon Frank and receive our heartfelt gratitude for the blessing you are giving him…the blessings of breathing & speaking.
Thank you for **all **the graces and blessings. You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage. Our food and shelter, Frank’s improvement & his very life. Thank You also for the love we have for one another & the love that my children & husband have for both me & my brother.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessing & please comfort Martha in the loss of her sister.
This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother. Amen.

Thank YOU, too tbcrawford!! I believe that the daily prayers that you & all of the kind & holy people who post on this forum, have offered have had a great deal to do with this improvement I’ve seen in my brother. I am excited that he can speak again, but, even MORE excited by the peace I see in his face. It is obvious
that God is right beside him. I know that this seems an exaggeration…but it you could see him, you’d know. He served as an officer in the army during Viet Nam & as I look back, I don’t think that he has ever felt close to God since then. He does now.

To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Dear CradleCath how inspiring your words are.God surely loves Frank very much and has clearly heard our prayers for him and for you and all your family.You are a remarkable sister with such true faith…how blessed Frank is to have you by his side and his ex wife also.May God bless you and Martha,your husband and children also.What a wonderful supportive family you are to dear Frank.God bless
