Sorry that I haven’t responded sooner. 2 of our sons live a few hundred miles away & they & their families came into town for Labor day…the last “hurrah” of the summer. We had a total of 13 children…ranging in age from 5- 17 & 9 adults from Friday until today…the out of towners headed back about an hour ago.
Frank had a small disappointment last week (me too), but he’s dealing with it. We were hoping that his surgeons would reverse his colostomy
soon, but after they read all the tests, they said that the colon wall that ruptured is healing itself, but it is still a weak spot. They were very hopeful that it would become stronger. Anyway, we have to wait another month & they’ll check it again & hopefully do surgery then. However, it means that Frank won’t be home by Christmas like he hoped. So, I told him that we’d just have Christmas at the VA. hospital. I plan to take a tree to the community room & celebrate the birthday of Christ there.
My other siblings are still visiting him fairly regularly, it’s ME they aren’t speaking to now. I hope we can put that behind us so that we will all be there for the Christmas party.
O Holy St Jude!
Apostle and Martyr,
great in virtue and rich in miracles,
near kinsman of Jesus Christ,
faithful intercessor for all who invoke you,
special patron in time of need;
to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart,
and humbly beg you,
to whom God has given such great power,
to come to my assistance;
help me now in my urgent need and grant my earnest petition.
I will never forget thy graces and favors you obtain for me
and I will do my utmost to spread devotion to you. Amen.

Most holy St. Jude, the prayers you offered for my brother have borne such good fruit. I will never be able to thank you enough, just know that my faith in your intercession has grown by leaps & bounds.
O LORD JESUS CHRIST,
To your most Sacred Heart,
I confide this intention
Bring health…both physical & especially
spiritual…to my brother, Frank.
Only look upon me, and then do
What your Sacred Heart inspires.
Let your Sacred Heart decide
I count on it, I trust in it
I throw myself on Your mercy,
Lord Jesus! You will not fail me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.
Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I believe in Your love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your Kingdom come.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I have asked you for many favors,
But I earnestly implore this one.
Thank You, Lord, for “introducing” me to these wonderful prayer partners. Bless them & be with them always.
