Prayers for my father who is dying

Please remember my father in your prayers.

He has been in the hospital for a month with severe pneumonia. The doctors now say he cannot recover.

I lost my dad 3 years ago to cancer, so I know exactly how you feel. It was the most difficult time in my life because 2 months before he died my mom died very unexpectedly. To complicate matters, I’m an only child. My priest tells me to pray Psalm 23 and it really helps me. I will remember your father and you in my prayers.

Caring prayer for your Dad and you and all your family. We lost my Dad last year. It’s tough for you all. May God flood you all with blessing, strength, and comfort as you all continue to go through this last part of your Dad’s journey.
May God’s love and grace fill him.
 
Most Merciful Jesus,
lover of souls,
I pray You,
by the agony of Your most Sacred Heart,
and by the sorrows of Your Immaculate Mother,
to wash in Your Most Precious Blood,
this father now in his agony,
and who will die soon.

Heart of Jesus,
once in agony,
have mercy on this dying man.

I will pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy for your father today.
 
Thank you all so much for your prayers. Your prayers were a great blessing for my father during the time of his passing, and a great comfort to me and my family.

Our father died last Thursday in Northern Virginia hospital. We were blessed to have cherry trees in full bloom outside the window of his hospital room.

I offered prayers for your father before our Lord in the Tabernacle. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Grant peace and comfort unto his loved ones in their time of grief. Amen.
