Prayers for my Nephew

Most of you have read about my little nephew and his dad and the abuse he has received from his dad, he is divorced from my sister. Now I am asking prayers for his health.

I think in some of what I wrote, if some of you recall, you can remember me telling you my nephew was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and that was about a year ago. He has to have yearly MRI of his brains to make sure his fluid is not increasing or things have not changed.

He had that yearly MRI last week and things changed and he now needs brain surgery to have a shunt put into his brain. He doesn’t know yet. His dad has been informed who is much nicer since leaving and now divorcing his wife. This neurologist feels that my nephew’s behavioral problems that continues and is on psychiatric medication for, may be due to his increase fluid in his brain. This is exactly what one doctor said last year, but he was not a neurologist, so this one doctor did not take him seriously, he has changed his mind and feels that taking the pressure out of my nephew’s brain may help him for the medications has not and maybe my nephew can reach his full potential. He has been diagnosed with Bipolar Personality Disorder and God willing, he may not have this disorder. We will know once the pressure is released.

Please pray for him. The surgery will have to be in the summer for he has to be in the hospital for one week. School is coming to an end, so my sister has already put in for vacation as soon as summer hits and instead of vacation, she will have to spend it in the hospital. The name of the procedure is an EVT, but I don’t know exactly what it stands for. I found endovascular therapy online, but have not talked with my sister to confirm if that is what he is having done. Any brain surgery is serious and so I ask for prayers starting from now.

His name is Luis and he is 10 years old. The surgery will most likely be in June but I will let you all know the date and time when I know. God bless you and please prayer warriors and all who read this, everytime the Lord reminds you of Luis, pray for him to have a safe surgery and recovery. This little boy wanted to be a priest since the age of 5 and he could be one of our future priest. Let us pray for my Godson and nephew, Luis.

O Good Saint Anne,
so justly called the Mother of the infirm,
the health of those who suffer from disease,
look kindly upon the sick person for whom I pray.
Alleviate their sufferings,
cause them to sanctify them by patience,
and by complete submission to divine will.
Finally deign to obtain health for them
and with it the firm resolution to honor Jesus, Mary and yourself
by the faithful performance of their Christian duties.

Thanks for all your prayers. Keep them coming. He had another MRI of his brain on Sunday to see if there are any changes. We don’t know the results of that scan yet. The doctor is one of the best in Central Florida and wants to be sure that he is doing what is best for my nephew. Like I said, last year he told us all that if my nephew had surgery he could die and now this year, he wants to do the surgery. I want to know what has changed to make this doctor change his mind.

Please continue to pray. He continues to have terrible anger outburst, mostly to his mother. We are all praying this surgery will help. He doesn’t handle life changes to well. His dad is not yet divorce and told his daughter, who is 13 yr. old, he has a girlfriend. He is afraid to tell his son, my nephew. We don’t think it is wise for him to tell him just yet. The doctor said to try to keep him as calm as possible. The dad is not helping. His daughter is upset about the girlfriend, so I am sure the son will be too, except he expresses it in anger. Pray for him. I will let you know when the surgery is scheduled.

Let your hands touches Luis,

Okay, everyone, I have the date and time of my nephews’ surgery. It will be on June 11th at 1 p.m. Please pray for him and for a safe and successful surgery. It is on the Feast Day of the Sacred Heart Feast Day so let us as the Sacred Heart of Jesus for a miracle on my nephew’s behavioral problem, but most of all a safe surgery.
 
I’ll pray for him (and his broken family) in this coming week’s Masses.

Thanks Trishie. He needs that too. His family is broken. My sister had to call his dad, her ex. to tell him the time of the surgery. He didn’t even call to find out. He needs prayers for conversion and I really hope he sees his son a lot while he is in the hospital.

Thanks for your prayers. Surgery is today at 1 p.m. From what my sister tells me he will be going to ICU after it and the surgery last two hours. The will drill a hold on the top of his head and go through the skull and drill another hole at the base of his neck and then put a tube through it so that they can drain the cerebral fluid that is in excess.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on Luis.
 
Lord keep Nana’s nephew safe in this serious operation, and please touch his Dad’s heart and mind with solicitude and caring for his son.
Whatever is lacking for his son, Father in Heaven please, for love of Your own Son, provide that love and support in a protective and wholesome way.
 
I am praying for Luis and his family today. I hope the surgery is a 100 percent success and that he recovers quickly.
