Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal PolishK. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

I will pray for you. I’m in my 30s and have dealt with my own skin issues in recent years including cystic acne (deep, painful, scarring, and long-lasting eruptions) and chronic shingles (including on my face). Your face is what everyone who meets you sees first. To say that it’s hard when things go wrong there is an understatement.
I pray that you are given the grace to live this cross with peace and joy in your heart. You may or may not find physical healing, but I pray that God allows you to experience His love throughout this trial and that you find healing in your heart.
Concerning my acne, it’s under control and healing (scars and all) thanks to Paula’s Choice Clear acne system. After two months, my red scars were almost completely faded and gone; my cystic acne was healing and I was not getting new ones. Six months later, my skin is smooth and young-looking, I have had only simple acne (related to my cycle) and it’s under control… I don’t wear make-up for the first time in my life. I haven’t found the solution for my hyperpigmentation yet, but I think I’m looking in the right place with Paula’s Choice products and/or recommendations from her site: www.cosmeticcop.com. Their staff are very helpful in choosing products and they have a very generous return policy. Their pricing is fair and even low compared with other brands.
Back to spiritual…I’m a wimp when it comes to pain and suffering and try to avoid it at all costs. However, I would be lying to say that God not worked for my good in this. Through this experience, He has made me face a lot of lies about myself and my worth that I had/have in my heart. I realized that the issues with my face were like a metaphor for sins and other ugliness in my heart that I ignored and wasn’t facing. I was trying to cover them up like I was with heavier and heavier make-up, but they were still there even when I successfully covered them up. I am facing those ugly areas now, and I’m finding healing for myself and healing for others in my relationships with them. I share this with you in the hopes that it may help you physically and/or spiritually and emotionally. You are not alone.

Krista, I did some homework for you by going to “mercola.com”, the largest medical info website. Grain and especially wheat are your worst enemy. Also corn surup, sugar, corn, rice, and potatoes are to be avoided. One of the best health foods are pickled vegetables which should be easily available in Japan. I would recommend a phase one diet for you. Find out about it at “know the cause. com”.

I actually follow a very clean (produce-based, mostly organic and raw) diet with minimal grains (I RARELY eat wheat) and no refined sugars, etc. This is why the problem has been so troubling for me. Even my husband says he doesn’t know anyone who eats as well as I do.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers and helpful tips. I saw my doctor last Thursday, who put me on hormonal medication for my acne. It has since started to clear up dramatically. I believe I have a hormonal imbalance and have tried to remedy it using holistic methods, but it has been to no avail. The troubling thing is that I have government healthcare (military), so they will not agree to run any tests on my hormones because they don’t want to pay the cost.

I have continued to follow my clean-eating lifestyle in hopes of rejuvenating my skin. I typically eat fruit, veggies, nuts, fish, organic meats, coconut oil, dark chocolate and sometimes rice/quinoa. I drink only water (approx. 10 cups a day) save for my cup of coffee or green tea in the morning. I do not use any refined sugars in anything I cook and I rarely go out to eat. I avoid these sugars and dairy like the plague. I also drink wheatgrass and take apple cider vinegar shots. If you were to ask anyone who knows me, I am the epitome of a healthy eater. I also am an avid gym rat. I run and weightlift 4-5 times per week and my body is in great shape. That’s why I am left so bothered by the fact that my skin issues have resurfaced after 4 years of being “dormant”.

I am continuing to ask for prayers for my skin as it was once one of my best features. I ask for healing of these acne and of the marks left behind. I wear makeup, but I do not want to have to plaster it on in an effort to disguise my face.
