Continued prayers for Spencer

Spencer is still in rehab. Due to get out on September 13 but he is considering staying another couple of weeks to do an extension program. He has even considered going to a halfway house when he gets out. While of course I want him home, I want him to do what is best for him and the halfway house sounds like a very supportive nature with access to counselor and meetings and stuff on site so I’ll support whatever he chooses. He seems to have matured by about ten years in three weeks time which is a good thing.

This is really the most heartbreaking thing to see my son suffer but I think of the Blessed Mother who certainly saw her Son suffer and stood right there with him and I get strength from that and from your prayers. It seems like every day God does something to keep us all going. Thanks again, so much!

A Parent’s Prayer

Dear God,there are no words for the depth of our feelings for Spencer.
We pray for his healing.
We pray for his care and protection.

Please send Your angels to bless and surround him always.
May he always see You at the center of his life.
May he grow strong.
May he be healthy.
May he be blesssed to live most fully and love most deeply.
To continue to give the world God’s Heartsong.

That is our wish. That is our prayer for him forever.
We ask for a miracle for Spencer.
We surrender him into Your hands.

BeluvdLily, I know how you feel as a mother I’ve been there. The road was long and hard during my son’s recovery. It wasn’t until I totally forgave him and surrendered him to Mary and Jesus, that I found peace and a gentle knowing that my son would be healed I just didn’t know when it would happen. All healing is on God’s timeline, not ours. We will all continue to pray for you, your husband and Spencer. :gopray:

Please be with Spencer and free him from the oppression of addiction. Bless his family.
