Praise to Jesus and thanks to the many people who prayed for my husband whose cancer surgery was a success.

I didn’t want to bother you all so soon again but Po18guy told me it was O.K.

My cousin Maureen’s husband Mike has had a big red patch on his arm for many years. The drs. said it was a fungus but a new dr. said its a form of cancer, hopefully not the worst kind. He will have to undergo surgery this Wed. Jan. 30th. or later. I’m not sure. He has an appt. with the pathologist for Wed. He went to see him last Wed. and his medical records had been lost.

Maureen and Mike both belong to the Catholic church. One of their daughters works in the Catholic missionary field.

Maureen emailed me as follows:

We as Catholics believe that the host distributed at Communion time is really and truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ as He said at the last supper.
There has been a practice in the Catholic Church of exposing the Host on the alter where people can go and adore and worship Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Some parishes have Exposition on certain occasions. We in our parish worked hard to have it in our parish so for the last 10 years or more we have Exposition every Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The Blessed Sacrament is never to be left alone so a group of us commit 1 hour to spend with the Lord on Fridays. My hour is from 1 to 2. I look forward to this great gift every Friday. I leave full of hope, joy and with enough fuel to get me through whatever comes my way during the week. We call the hour ‘A Holy Hour’ which can be spent alone or with others in group prayer. end of quote.

I’ve told Maureen I’ll ask for prayers for Mike on this forum.
God bless you all and thank you so very much.

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

Lord God of Heaven and Earth, You have joined Maureen and Mike together as one flesh. It is as one flesh that they are now tested, O Lord. We lift them up to You, beseeching Your Divine Mercy, that the cancer which afflicts them will be healed. Merciful God, Your Word commands even the cells of our bodies. In Your loving kindness, grant a Spirit-filled compassion and skill to the doctors, nurses, technicians and all who care for Mike. May Maureen and Mike’s reliance on You for every breath they take deepen their mutual love for one another. We humbly ask that Your mercy fall from Heaven upon them, that they might rejoice and praise Your Holy Name for all eternity. Grant this, O Divine Healer, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Beloved Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.

Sincerely appreciated. I have emailed these to Maureen.
She works and doesn’t have a computer at home.
She isn’t able to spend time on forums. She has a busy real life…lol.

Thanks again. Love and Hugs (((((((((((((Everyone)))))))))))))))))))

My prayers - especially to St Peregrine, the patron of cancer sufferers.
