Prayers for Tyler, please

My 15-year-old nephew, Tyler is having surgery on his spine as we speak. He was recently diagnosed with scoliosis and it has progressed quickly.

The surgeon at Shriners is predicting a 7 to 8 hour surgery.

So if you don’t mind send some good thoughts or prayers to Tyler and his medical staff.

I just prayed for Tyler. I hope all goes well and he makes a good recovery. Praying for you too. 🙂

Hold the prayers. 😃

I just talked to my sister and they were just told that the surgery is cancelled because the doctor is sick. Apparently, the OR knew this information since 6:30 a.m but they never relayed the message to the (name removed by moderator)atient floor. So he’s been not eating or drinking, extremely stressed and worried, and getting prepped for IV’s and surgery.

When I left him this morning they were just putting some numbing cream on the top of his hands where the IV is going to go. My sister told me they gave him some medication to make him sleepy/groggy and were getting ready to wheel him out of his room to the OR when they got the word.

Needless to say, my nephew is really upset.

Hopefully, it will take place tomorrow.
 
Tyler will be in my prayers. I will pray that the surgeons hands are guided by our Lord and that our Blessed Mother take Tyler into Her Immaculate Heart for healing and protection.
 
:gopray: praying for Tyler… Lord we pray that You would bring about a peace for him. Allow him to know how close You are to him through this process. Help him to deal with the stress and disappointment experienced today. We pray that You would guide the doctors and work through them through the process of the surgery.

Will be praying for Tyler at this time of great stress …and for the doctor and medical team when the surgery does take place that it will progress with complete success with a speedy recovery…

Merciful and loving Father, You conceived of Tyler from all eternity as part of Your perfect, Divine plan. Graciously send comfort and Heavenly healing to him during his recovery from surgery. As he recuperates, may Your Holy Spirit move him to greater faith, as he thanks you for the daily increase in his physical ability and the gradual reduction of pain. With great love, appeal to him now, O Lord, that he may come to desire You in his life to a greater degree, having been shown Your mercy. May Your love surround him and be made present to him in those who minister to him and care for him in his time of need. I ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.
