Hello.
I’m new here, but I’m desperately looking for answers and peacefulness for not only myself but for my mother and family. My mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer almost 4 years ago. They did a complete hysterectomy & started chemo as a “prevention”. Later on the Doctors saw that the cancer had jumped to one of her lymph nodes behind her stomach and a small tumor started growing which later on got attached to her L4 vertebrate. She has been through all sorts of different combinations of chemo and radiations. A few days ago she was given the news that her cancer spread to her liver, her bones (specifically her spine) and her lymph nodes. I also read in the cat scan results that there might be a 6mm tumor near her lungs which is of worry and that the cancer is widespread.
Her doctor wants to give her a blood transfusion that way her body can handle the more aggressive chemo he wants to give her. But at the same time he told her that, her type of cancer is incurable and that he doesn’t have any options left.

My question is…What now? What happens? What can I do? My mom is only 52 and I’m 23. She’s my best friend, my confidant, the only person that keeps me sane in this world. I’m married and I have other siblings and my dad. But I just don’t know how to react to this. I just feel helpless. I want to know what can I do? I’m afraid of losing my mom to this.

I just want to ask if any of you can pray for her health, to get better, for the cancer just to stay in place and not spread any further. I just want her to be happy and peaceful. I just really want to feel like God is listening to my pleas. My family is in desperately need of a MIRACLE.

Thank you all. God Bless.:gopray2::highprayer::signofcross:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.

Amen.

bless you and your family, i am going threw hardship as well, i pray for a miracle, my mom is my befriend also, i pray god gives a miracle, make sure she sees another doc as well if she has strength and continue cemo if she can…

god give your family strength, i ask you to ask your mom to have a priest come and make sure her sins are forgiven, i want her to fight, to live, and dont think the end is in sight but make sure that her sins are washed clean and she is free of sin. dont think by doing so you are thinking the worse, you and we want her to live

so bless you and your mom and your family may they be well and recover

You are also your mom’s best advocate. Fax or ask doctor to fax her records to specialists at major cancer centers (Johns Hopkins, Fred Hutchinson, etc.) and ask for reviews by specialists. Cancer treatment varies to an amazing degree, as there is no standard treatment for many cancers. Keep the pressure up and just know that, the more opinions, the better. Time is of the essence, but rather than panic, turn also to prayer. I am here because of intense and on-going prayer by CAF members. For the time being, love your mother like never before, pray like never before, and enjoy every moment with her. She is in my prayers.

I will pray for God’s peace to be with you and your family through this time. Please check out www.envita.com. From what I have heard they have different ways of dealing with cancer that are very effective. Perhaps they can help you.

Blessings!

Lord have mercy on Jen’s brave mother who has fought this illness so strongly.
Please give her and Jen and the family all needed graces.
I was a few years younger than you when I lost my Mum to sudden illness, and it is a heavy thing, so I pray for you and your mother with love and hope

**A SONG IN THE NIGHT **

I Take this pain, Lord Jesus,
From Thine own hand,
The strength to bear it bravely
Thou wilt command.

I am too weak for effort,
So let me rest,
In hush of sweet submission,
On Thine own breast.

I take this pain, Lord Jesus,
As proof indeed.
That Thou art watching closely
My truest need:

That Thou, my Good Physician,
Art watching still;
That all Thine own good pleasure
Thou wilt fulfil.

I take this pain, Lord Jesus,
What Thou dost choose
The soul that really loves Thee
Will not refuse.

It is not for the first time
I trust to-day;
For Thee my heart has never
A trustless ‘Nay!’

I take this pain, Lord Jesus,
But what beside?
'T is no unmingled portion
Thou dost provide.

In every hour of faintness,
My cup runs o’er
With faithfulness and mercy,
And love’s sweet store.

I take this pain, Lord Jesus,
As Thine own gift,
And true though tremulous praises
I now uplift.

I am too weak to sing them,
But Thou dost hear
The whisper from the pillow,–
Thou art so near!

'T is Thy dear hand, O Saviour,
That presseth sore,
The hand that bears the nail-prints
For evermore.

And now beneath its shadow,
Hidden by Thee,
The pressure only tells me
Thou lovest me!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Dear God Our Father,
Please help this desperate family in their Garden of Gethsemane time of desperation.

You have been there. You know the profound fear, the profound pain, the utter helpless and aloneness that can be part of the Garden experience.

Even Christ You Only begotten Son had an angel sent to Him to help strengthening Him as He prayed that the chalice would pass from Him if it would be Your Will.

Strengthen this family. Give peace to this family.

May all Glory and Honor be Yours Almighty Father. Amen

Please give her and Jen and the family all needed graces.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Thank you all! Your support and prayers have meant so much to me and my family. Its great to see that there’s still good people out there. I truly appreciate everyone’s prayers from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. & God bless

My mom is my best friend as well. I talk to her so often. I am her only child and we are extremely close. I often think about what I would do without her. I honestly think I’d go insane. I am so sorry you have to go through this.

Dear Lord, please grant this family peace and understanding. Be with the OP and walk with her through this difficult time. Lord, please take away the cancer from every inch of her mother’s body. Please allow this mother and daughter to enjoy many more years of loving companionship. We know that Your will shall be done, O Lord. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
