This is the most stress I’ve ever undergone at one time. I feel like I’m near my breaking point.
My grandfather has been in ICU for weeks (I can’t remember how many at this point). He never really woke up from a surgery. He had a good day about 10 days ago, meaning he moved a little and has done nothing since. His body is slowly shutting down. It’s for the best but hard to see him suffer. I was able to spend a week by his side. Now I am 500 miles away and feel helpless. I want to be by his side to comfort him, even if he doesn’t know I’m there. I have family responsibilites that hold me here. Once the kids are out of school things will be different.
Our house is on the market but we can’t get people in to look at it. We’ve had two showings since November. To add to the stress our move is a little sooner, 3 weeks. It is on the rental market now, something I never wanted to do. The rental process brings on a whole other set of stress. I need to be getting ready for the move but don’t want the house in disarray just in case someone shows up. I keep the house immaculate so that it is showing ready 24/7.
By the grace of God spots opened up in the Catholic school in the town we are moving to for all of our kids. Tuition will be an issue if we can’t sell/rent this house. We sacrifice a lot to send them to Catholic school but our resources only go so far.
My stress is mounting. I feel selfish for even praying that someone buys our house. Several of my husband’s work acquantances have sold their homes quickly. We can’t figure out what we are doing wrong. The realtors have no negative things to say about our home or its pricing. I’m not sleeping well and I have a short fuse. I know God has a plan. I’m just not seeing a the light at the end of the tunnel right now.
