I have recently entered a most difficult period in my life, and it is going to be quite a struggle while we are getting through the situation.

My marriage is over. Not legally, yet; but it is over.

On the 28th of April, my husband was arrested for 1st degree rape and 1st degree sexual abuse. Based on my knowledge of him and the conversations (3 phone calls) while he was in jail, I have no doubt of his guilt in the matter. (The legal system may be required to consider him innocent at the moment, I am not so required.) He is currently out of jail because the preliminary hearing failed, although the case is soon to be presented to the grand jury (and upon indictment he will return to jail). I have an order of protection against him, and am having some significant financial difficulties (and he has done everything he can to make my situation worse … but that will just look all the worse for him when he gets in front of the judge). During the marriage, he was verbally and emotionally abusive towards me, such that the detective who notified me of the arrest and charges actually referred me to the domestic abuse organization here (they run a shelter as well as a number of counseling programs). I fear that if he were to be where I am that he would tip over into physical violence against me.

I do intend to divorce and move, with the children, to another state where there is a house (paid for) available to me, as well as a job that I can support them with. But I have a long legal slog to get there.

Melissa,

May the Holy Spirt fill you with courage and perserverance to move forward and bless you and your children … with a peace-filled life.

Also praying that your husband gets the help he needs to live a life in, through and with God.

Blessings,
Kathleen

May the Peace of God the Father and the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and forever, and may our Heavenly Mother wrap you in her garments and give you warmth and comfort in this great time of need for you.

One step at a time… to get through and then off to rebuilding your life.

God Bless,

Paul

Praying for your protection and also saying a prayer for him as well …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,
and Blessed is the Fruit
of Thy Womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for you, your children, as well as all parties in this whole matter (that will include the one who is accusing your husband, their family and your husband).

May the Lord’s strength be with your always.

In Christ,
Never

For your intention…

Blessed Saint Joseph,
your intercession can make possible impossible things
come to help me in these moments of anguish and hardship.
Take under your protection
the difficult and grave situations I commend to you,
so they have a happy solution according to God’s will.
My beloved father:
I trust you entirely
and abandon myself as a small child
sleeping in his dad’s arms.
That could not be said I appealed to you in vain.
And as you, through the Lord,
can everything accomplish in front of Jesus and Mary,
show me your kindness is as greater as your power.
Amen
