My husband is out of town on business, but will be back in a few days. He claims that he is no longer dating his mistress. I find that hard to believe because I have caught him in several lies. We are suppose to talk face to face about our daughter and hopefully our marriage. I am willing to overlook the abandonment and the affair. I know I am partly to blame because I did reject him so I have to take some blame; although I do not think that justified his actions. I want to give this marriage 110%. Please pray that the Lord touch his heart, mind, brain, spirit and soul. Also, please pray that God guides me in the right direction. I need to be more patient. I want my marriage to be restored, but we need lots of healing to take place. It seems that only a miracle can change his mind. Nothing is impossible with God. Thank you and God bless.

My husband agreed to attend Mass with us today. We had a nice time, and Pentecost Sunday was a joyous event. He spend several hours with us, but left to his apartment like always. I hope that he is filled with the Holy Spirit! He participated during Mass and received communion. Please pray that he lives the gospel through actions more powerful than words alone, and that the Spirit guide us this day and all the days of our lives.

Hi Sol, I am new to your thread, but I read most of it and I must say, you are carry a lot of crosses. You have beared them all with a lot of faith and courage. That is what we as Catholic Christians are meant to do. I know it is not easy and we fall, but you pick yourself up again and you show us all to do that too. Thanks for being such an inspiration. I will now keep you in my daily prayers and your precious family. I will mostly pray for the conversion of your husband. You know tonight on EWTN, I was watching a special and at the end they had Fr. Peyton and his famous saying, “The family that prays together, stays together.” But before he said that, he said how the family is being attack so much and the enemy wants to destroy the family and that is what we see today. The evil of divorce is everywhere. The enemy being the devil or Satan is out to break up many marriages. So let us all pray for all marriages and families, but it seems that the devil goes after men the most. We need to pray for all husbands that they do not fall into the temptation of adultery. I will pray for your husband that on this Pentecost Sunday the Holy Spirit will have mercy on him and touch his heart and that the Lord God will call him to his son, Jesus. May he have a change of heart. If you do get a second chance at your marriage, please pray together. I don’t know if you did or not, but please do in order to fight the enemy and of course, Fr. Peyton, recommends the Rosary, but seeing that your husband wanted a non religious therapist, you may just want to start out with a short prayer. Your daughter will see this and soon join you both. God bless you, Sol and my heart goes out to you and all that you are suffering. I had three sister go through this and only one had to go through it while pregnant as you did. Keep the faith and don’t give up hope.
