Jesus was, is and always will be.

You started off by saying what Jesus didn’t do as an infant. I pointed out that He became flesh as an infant, the beginning of our salvation. The most significant birth ever.

Now, you continue to harp on this as if it has some significance in one’s salvation. It is not required of Catholics to pray to the infant Jesus. How do you see this as having an affect on one’s salvation should they choose too?

PRAYER TO INFANT JESUS

O Infant Jesus, I have recourse to You and ask You through the intercession of Your Holy Mother to help me in my need, ( mention it here) for I firmly believe that Your Divinity can help me.

I hope, in complete trust, to obtain Your holy grace. I love You with all my heart and with all the strength of my soul. I am truly sorry for all my sins, and beg You, O good Jesus, to give me strength to conquer them. I shall never offend You and I am ready to suffer rather than to cause You pain.

From now on I want to serve with complete faithfulness and for love of You, O Divine Child, I will love my neighbour as well as myself. Omnipotent Child, Lord Jesus, again I implore You, help me in this need of mine (mention it).

Grant me the grace of possessing You eternally, with Mary and Joseph and of adoring You with the holy angels in Your heavenly court.

Can an infant intercede? Has the dead in Christ receive their reward?

The blessed souls who have died and gone to heaven have received their reward. The holy souls in purgatory are being purified and they shall receive their heavenly reward after their purification.

The rest of us who are still living can pray to our blessed friends in heaven (Saints) as well as the holy souls in purgatory, to intercede for us before God to answer our petitions.

You do not believe that blessed souls, the souls of the just, who have died and gone to heaven, have received their reward?

I apologize. I had taken for granted that you believe Christ to be the only begotten Son of God, the second ‘person’ of the triune Godhead; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Do you not believe that Jesus was God?

John 1:1,2, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Then you do believe Jesus was God? Then why the doubt that He was, is and always will be…the same?

Now please be so kind as to answer my question. How does praying to the infant Jesus affect someone’s salvation in your opinion?

You are right. Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

How does that mean He is an infant? Why is He depicted as either an infant or dead in catholicism (most of the time)? Just a question.

Neither death nor an infant save you.

Also, this one is for you as well. What does the Bible say about rewards?

You are mistaken. Yes we do have the crucifix depicting His sacrifice for ALL, but Christ is ALIVE. He suffered, died (a fleshly death) and was resurrected, but He lived/lives before, then and now.

If Christ was the same yesterday, today and forever, He was the same when He was an infant.
Being an infant was a limitation of the flesh, that He never had to do. He did that for us. The incarnation is as much a part of our salvation as His death and resurrection.

Now, I’ve asked as politely as possible and you avoided it more than once, please explain how praying to infant Jesus affects one’s salvation, one way or the other. Or are you just picking at a Catholic practice for ‘sport’? To be perfectly honest, I grow tired of repeating the same explanation over and over just for you to act as if there is something ‘wrong’ with this Catholic practice.

Christ is the same Christ regarless His age He is still God on earth.

The same one whom died on the cross is the same infant Jesus.Now by Christ’s death were you saved or not?

If I offended you then I apologize. I am not “picking” at the catholic practice. I honestly want to know why do some people pray to Jesus as an infant when everything points to Him as an adult (baptism, overcoming temptation, death on the cross, healing, and so on)

If someone is praying to an infant, then I can only say what I have been saying. Other than that, what they do is between them and God.

Again I ask you, what does the Bible say about rewards?
