this is a bit off the subject…but I always pray the rosary when I’m driving…I know…sounds weird…but…it’s actually saved my life…and what better way for me to die then to have my rosary in my hand!
Anyway…I was driving to Mass one evening…praying my rosary…when I caught a glimpse of something in the corner of my eye…and there was a deer staring at me! I mean…looking right at me in my driver’s side window!!! I could see the beautiful brown eyes!!! AND after looking at me…it turned away!!! I was so shaken by the time I got to Mass I was a basket case…

Then…a few nights ago I was driving home, again praying my rosary. I saw lights ahead of me in the opposite lane and then when I was almost along side, a car pulled out to pass the TRUCK that was in the other lane!!! HEADING right towards me…I have NO idea how the car missed me!!! But let me tell you, that rosary would have been imbeded in my hand!!!
“Hail Mary Full of Grace!”

i had a really weird experience today…

i went to church having prayed to God that I would say the complete scriptural rosary today …

as i was driving over there, i saw this huge truck bearing down on me and would not go away… i slowed down hoping that the truck would pass me but it was so near i almost thought that she would run into me…
finally she drove around me…
while coming back i had the same experience…!!!

i felt like it was the evil forces trying to scare me into not saying the rosary…

i generally pray only 5 decades every day…

has anybody felt these kind of experiences?

I use this site too. I also have rosary prayerbooks with the bible verses in them. I read the verses as I’m saying the Hail Marys. It keeps me focused (my mind tends to wander) on the meditation. It also doesn’t add anymore time doing it this way. I don’t know if anyone else does it this way.
I have a friend who recommends this method, he always emphasizes that it doesn’t add more time because it reduces distractions too. He devised a beautiful Scriptural Rosary (some verses one might not think of at first for some the mysteries, but they make perfect sense.🙂

someone learning to say the rosary or new to the scripture should certainly read the specific scripture before each decade, or perhaps say, ready the infancy narrative in Luke before saying the joyful mysteries, or read the Passion before praying the sorrowful etc. Once we have become familiar with those scriptures it is enough to call them to mind. It is also an excellent practice in public recitation of the rosary to repeat the scripture first before each mystery.

I thought praying the rosary was a journey through the scriptures.
