The following article and comments below it highlight the huge success of the Papal visit to the UK and not only is it predicted that more vocations will follow but readers have also commented that conversions will also come about. I very much agree James. I also predict “A Benedict Bounce” when it comes to the numbers who shall leave The Church Of England. Speaking as an Anglican myself, The Pope’s visit has led me to have this most profound and wonderful “religious experience”. I’ve just felt a wonderful sense of joy and happiness over these past few days. A real sense of devotion for my Lord. The visit has, for me personally, so strengthened The Light of my Lord, strengthened my faith in Him, and made my Lord’s Truth, His Teachings and His Ideas so much more clearer to me. As an Anglican, I never thought I would feel this way about The Pope or The Papal Visit. I’ve been astonished and overwhelmed by my spiritual response to it. I cannot quite believe or comprehend it. I never thought I would find myself uttering these words under my breath - “Holy Father, I love you”. But I have! I also now really want to serve this Light that I first saw as a teenager at school. The great Light that The Pope has made so much more clearer to me. It is just so wonderful to see this Light, to experience it, and also to know it - and to have Belief and Faith. To be able to experience what we experience as Christians. I can’t express in words what I have seen, what I have experienced, and also what I have felt in these past few days. Just joy. Perfect joy. Such a wonderful joy and happiness. I’m so grateful to God for giving this experience to me. So grateful to Pope Benedict for also enabling this experience to happen. So very grateful to those in my life, particularly my teachers at my schools, who encouraged me to understand, to experience, and also to glimpse what they clearly did. Now that I do much more fully I’m just so grateful to them. So thankful. So happy! Thank you for coming to the United Kingdom, Pope Benedict! Thank you too for strengthing my faith and belief as a Christian - I only wish I could adequately put it into words
