Hi all

I dont know what to say about this .How could you wanna force your own 16 year old daughter to get an abortion?
I guess the father told her it was his choice and the decision has been made… The girl says the mom was gonna try to slip her an abortion pill.

I think this is the girls choice and 16 is old enough to make that choice. I dont think you should force anyone to have an abortion.

They should just be happy there gonna have a grandbaby…

HOUSTON -
A lawsuit claims a 16-year-old girl is being coerced to have an abortion against her will.

The teen is two months pregnant and is represented by lawyers with the Texas Center for Defense of Life. A judge granted a temporary restraining order to save the baby’s life.

“We were asking judge to stop them physically forcing her to have an abortion. She is legally protected. They cannot drag her to get an abortion, force an abortion on our client,” attorney Stephen Casey said.

Assuming the pregnancy was not a result of rape or incest, then I’d say that the girl made her decision to have unprotected sex. A very natural result of that is called “pregnancy.” She’s a big girl now, she can make her own decisions and she made her own decision already.

For the parents to attempt to force an abortion is wrong. No, I’m not referring to morality or the moral aspect of abortion. It’s not necessary for this.

All of us—pro-life, pro-choice, pro-abortion—should be able to agree that coercion is not acceptable and sends a bad message about dealing with the consequences of your actions.

Sadly it happens a lot. When I was in High School I knew more than one girl who was forced into it by her parents, and that was in the 90’s so I imagine it would be much worse now.

How many girls has this happened to? Too many!
My prayers are with these young women. This young girl is brave.

One of the nation’s most prominent abortion rights groups is working to remake its image in response to concern that it may be overtaken by a growing cadre of young anti-abortion activists.- rollcall.com/news/abortion_rights_group_strives_for_youthful_image-222372-1.html
The pro-life movement among young people has lots of traction. Even pro-choice groups are recognizing this.

The OP story attests to this I would say. Many young people recognize the wrong for what it is.

I certainly hope that’s true. How could grandparents ever want to endanger the life of their grandchild much less wish to destroy the poor thing. This world is so troubling.

I wonder what mortals are turning theirselves into? Why must you commit murder to cover up your shame? Even if the girl was raped must you commit abortion? Parents, what you do for or to the blessings of God to you inform of children will either take you to Heaven or Hell fire.

Coercion is extremely common in abortion.
I personally know one woman who caved in to this coercion she was dreadfully hurt by the experience and subsequently attempted suicide.

My wife and I are both survivors of attempts of the medical establishment to coerce our mothers to abort us. My mother was made to see a psychiatrist to prove she wasn’t insane before they would take her “no”.

This girl is a hero for fighting so strongly to not let her baby be murdered. - however (s)he was conceived. - mistakes of that nature are so common as to be normal - and we live in a society where our mass media says it’s abnormal not to have lost your virginity before you reach the legal age of consent. - that’s huge pressure on our growing youths.
