preparing for death

May I suggest reading the book “As I Lay Dying” written by the late (and I say this with much sadness because he died today) Fr. Richard John Neuhaus?

He died today?! Oh my goodness, I didn’t even know that. I’ve been away from the TV and the computer. I really like him, love his voice. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve heard him say and everything of his that I’ve read. But I haven’t read much of him. I think I need to correct that now. I’ve seen that book, I believe, and I might start with that one.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and may perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace.
