I saw the photos personally within the last couple of days on the library’s Flicker account. Now Multnomah County Library has taken them down. Not before they were saved, however and there’s a link on the LSN page.
I challenge anyone to justify this behavior. And sorry, simply bashing LSN isn’t justification. The photos are really from Multnomah County Library. I saw them, and so did many others.

I guess the kind of parents who would take their children to one of these events might also be fine with such intimate contact.
 
They’ve also hosted the Catholic and Christ-mocking “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” Naturally.

It doesn’t look particularly “intimate” to me. There’s certainly nothing sexual about it if that’s what you mean by “intimate”.
 
It doesn’t have to be overtly sexual to be wildly inappropriate adult-child interaction. If any male school teacher did this he would be likely terminated and his credential would likely be revoked.

Which part of it is inappropriate? Is it inappropriate for everyone? Would it be inappropriate for a father to do this with his kids?
 
But just look at the smile on the adult man’s face. Shouldn’t he be allowed to gain pleasure from snuggling with the children of strangers?

That’s a bit of a leap to assume that this drag queen is a pedophile. What evidence do you have for this claim? And for most gay men, dressing up in drag is just done for fun and entertainment. Bob Hope used to appear in drag as did Milton Berle, Jonathan Winters, etc.

I guess I don’t get the point of any of this drag queen story time. Other than the attempt to normalize this behavior and indoctrination of innocent little children. The concept of being politically correct and embracing and flaunting deviant behavior does make one wonder if the end is near.

Normalize what? Dressing up for fun? Most of these drag queens aren’t trying to look like convincing women. Everything is usually exaggerated to make it somewhat comic. I’ve been to drag queen shows in San Francisco and I found them fairly entertaining. And lots of straight people go to those shows, too.

Men who aren’t physically attracted to children generally don’t lie on the floor and let children straddle them.
I work with children and know exactly what is considered grossly inappropriate behavior. It’s written into the adult-child interaction guidelines of every school district, after school and summer program, etc. This behavior would be termed “red flag” or the equivalent. Except of course in this library and those like it.
