Presence of Christ

I’d like to find a way to pray in as special of presence of Christ as possible. I know Christ is everywhere of course, but I want to ask Him a question of discernment and to give Him every opportunity to respond. What in inside a Catholic Church would have this special presence? Any of the sanctified Host. What about other items, I know Catholics don’t revere icons really.
 
Our Holy of Holy’s is the tabernacle. That is where to be. It is in the tabernacle that the Blessed Sacrament, the Eucharist, body, blood, soul, and divinity can be found. Most of the time, the tabernacle, a beautifully adorned gold in color square vessel is located just behind the maiin altar. Go to the front pew for the best view and to be closest
 
Great Question! Almost all catholic churches practice what’s known as Adoration. Some parishes are so huge that they will have 24-hour Adoration 6 days a week. Huge congregation because during adoration, we do not want to leave Christ alone. Some smaller parishes will have Adoration one day a week for a few hours. It all varies as to the times and days, but I would say that nearly every single catholic church in America has some kind of Adoration.

Adoration started way back in the 4th century (if I remember right) where the early fathers thought to themselves, “Hey, Jesus is present in the eucharist, he’s here, with us now! Let’s put his precious body, blood, soul, and divinity on display and the faithful elect can be in His presence”

Paraphrased, way so much, of course, but that’s the thing.

Contact your local catholic church and ask when they have Adoration. If they don’t have it at a time that you can make it, call around different parishes and get their times.

(shortcut, get the App called “Catholic Mass Times” and they have every single diocesan catholic church in the US, with names, addresses, mass times, confession times, and adoration times.

Go, find an adoration. Go sit in His presence. Pray silently if you want. Sit silently if you want. Sing silently if you want. Guess the theme here is, sit silently in the Presence of Christ.

Let Him into your mind, heart and soul.

You can never go wrong with Adoration, but I would say the time He is the most present is when we receive the Eucharist. Use that time after receiving to abandon yourself to Him and accept His will for your life. You could stay after mass and remain in prayer with Him alone.
 
I’m Episcopalian (according to church rolls and Sunday attendance) and non-Christian (Baha’i) by belief, so I can’t in good conscious receive communion at a Catholic Church, since church law prohibits it.
I receive episcopal communion but I know this is not truly consecrated.

But you all have made a wonderful case for how important it is for me to find time to pray in the presence of the tabernacle. I will definitely have to do that. I hope I can figure out a time to do that.
I suppose praying during a Catholic mass in the pew while others receive communion would also work. Since I would be in same room as the consecrated elements.

Adoration is definitely your best bet then.
 
That is a good response, but I think many fellow Catholics over focus on adoration of Jesus in the monstrance. If a person wishes to adore Jesus in the Eucharist, they can do so equally well before the tabernacle. He is equally there. I do highly recommend adoration chapels, but they are not ubiquitous.

The nice thing about praying to Jesus in the tabernacles, is that he can always be found there. Every church and at all times (99% of the time) Jesus is residing in the tabernacle and as long as the Church is physically open, Jesus is awaiting your visit.

Well I’m almost Baha’i. Basically I want to ask Jesus if He is God and what God’s will is for me. That way I can with a clear conscious either convert (declare) as a Baha’i or I can return to the Church. I’m pretty done with Protestantism so I’d have to figure that out.

According to Bahai, anyone who follows the prophet Bahá’u’llá is already Baha’i, but also can officially declare too.

If Jesus is God, then I would renounce Bahá’u’llá (1 John’s testing the spirits) and look into becoming catholic or at least renewing my baptismal vows.

My local Catholic Church has a adoration once a month. Yay! I’m looking forward to going and may try to go monthly!
 
If you want discernment then the only special presence that matters I think is God speaking in your heart or conscience. What happens physically outside are really only aids to this.

If you do find Jesus in the tabernacle helps best then this may be a sign to join.

KNow that these day’s NOT all Catholic churches HAVE a '“Reservation Tabernacle” in the main body of the Church.

Some churches have moved it to “Private reservation Chapel”

IF THE CHURCH as it in the main body of the Church there WILL BE a candle usually in a red glass- container near it, indicating that GOD is Present in our Midst. IF it is an older Church with a “High Real A;tar” the Tabernacle is located in the center of it and the candle off to one of the sides, away from the altar.

THAT would be a EXCELLENT place t go and ask your question: BUT know this God
has 3 possible answers:

YES

No

Not NOW

and even when He answers and He WILL in His time and manner; it may not be exactly as you expect. God can be and often is VERY subtle, seeking a degree of FAITH in Him.

When I saw it was monthly, it was almost an immediate “I should go every month”. I think there is something there about the “not now” response or in testing my sincerity and faith.
 
The more often you go the more graces you will be offered.

The more graces you are offered and accept, the closer you get to GOD

The closer you get to GOD, the closer you are to attaining hreaven

MAYBE once a month is not enough?
