all I know is I don’t see nothing wrong with secular gay marriage as long is it don’t involve christians (hence the term secular) and is outside of the church I see nothing wrong with it. now I know the Catholic Church has nothing to say about that.
The Church has condemned it in no uncertain terms. You can find the Catechism on line. You will find it very helpful in separating fact from opinion where Catholic teaching is concerned

Of course not. Again, the Church should always condemn sin, and be vocal about it, but that should be for the Church to do. Our job here on in this world is not so much to fight evil, but to bring more light in our darkened world. In other words, our goal as Christians is not to fight homosexuality, but to enlighten with the end goal of causing sinners to repent and convert to religion.

LOVE! ❤️
I’m confused by your position here. Who exactly makes up the Church? If no Christian should be condemning sin, how is the Church supposed to condemn sin? It seems you just want to be “nice” to people and never upset them, and hope that by your “niceness” you will convince them to follow Christ. The problem with that thinking is what “Christ” are you convincing them to follow?

And exactly what changes would they need to make to follow your example? All they would see is someone who is “nice”, and all they have to do is be “nice” as well. They don’t actually have to change their sinful behaviors.

Don’t be a sleezy salesman. Be upfront about what your are “selling” to people. (I’m using a figure of speech). Be open and honest with people about the Christian faith, and lay out all cards on the table. Let them make an informed decision. Don’t try to hide the tough parts of the faith.

President Barack Obama sends his congratulations to Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted by an NFL team.
Obama calls the selection of Sam “an important step forward.”
Obama says that from the playing field to the corporate boardroom, gay and lesbian Americans, quote, “prove every day that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are.”

Just like women, blacks and other minorities continue to fight for equal job opportunities and pay, gays are fighting for fairness in the workplace. The NFL is and should be blind to sexual orientation. If a player performs well and is an asset to the team, then it’s in the NFL’s best interest to stay out of his bedroom. I’m glad that President Obama has highlighted the NFL’s choice not to judge players based on factors that are none of anyone’s business. The player’s sexual orientation has no impact on the health and well being of anyone else on this planet other than his consensual partner. President Obama and the NFL are publicly upholding the Christian ethic “Who are we to judge?” And thank God for that.

I should have said that Church officials, including priests, but especially the Vatican, should spell out the Churches’ teachings on moral issues. Our job again is not to admonish, but to enlighten through compassion, unconditional love and good examples.

Changes in people are usually gradual, but our goal is to win sinners over to religion. Not until gays repent of all their sins and convert, is our objective fulfilled.

Oh excuse me, it’s none other than Michael Sam that came out and proclaimed his own so-called sexual orientation.

This old canard? What other sins are you okay with people perfoming that you wish for people to remain quiet about? Murder? Theft? Lying?

This whole “who are we to judge” is a COMPLETE distortion of the Christian faith and Christ’s teaching. We most certainly ARE supposed to judge if actions are sinful or not. What we must not do is judge the eternal destiny of a person, that is God’s decision. But we MUST judge if Mr. Sam’s homosexual acts are right or wrong (they are wrong) and we must proclaim so to possibly help him and others not fall prey to this sin.
