yeah they need to stop looking at the world so much and look to God where the Wisdom and help comes. The USCCB talks out of the side of their mouths, saying one thing, but the money trail goes the other way.
God Bless
You are only supposed to follow your Diocese Bishop on matters of Faith and Morals when his teaching is in full compliance with the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition”.So posters clap when Bishops say something they like and when they say something that doesn’t jive with them they say “the USCCB needs to stay out of politics and stop commenting on things they know nothing about” Ineresting.
I, am many folks just listen to whatever the Bishops say- it seems much more consistent.
Indeed, the conference is as much a political as a religious institution. You are only supposed to follow your Diocese Bishop on matters of Faith and Morals when his teaching is in full compliance with the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition”.
The CCC contains the accurate teaching of the Church without human error or human bias.
The USCCB is not the Magisterium of the Church.
However when they teach in full compliance with the CCC, it makes sense that we pay attention.
Abp Dolan’s speech is in full compliance with the CCC which also covers the responsibilty of Bishops.
This is a quote from the CCC -
CCC - **" **2246 It is a part of the Church’s mission to pass moral judgments even in matters related to politics, whenever the **fundamental rights of man **or the salvation of souls requires it.
The means, the only means, she may use are those which are in accord with the Gospel and the welfare of all men according to the diversity of times and circumstances."
Sometimes it appears they don’t spend enough time on the SAVING of SOULS.
Actually they need to stop lying; swearing on a stack of Bibles that they are Pro-Life, while funneling 280 million dollars of our collection basket contributions to organizations whose core philosophy is founded on propagating abortion and homosexuality:yeah they need to stop looking at the world so much and look to God where the Wisdom and help comes.
